I let out a deep breath and pressed my head against the seat. Traffic was absolute shit and I had been stuck on the highway for almost an hour. The radio had been playing nothin but music but I hadn't changed it in hopes of a traffic update. Maybe they would tell us an easier, less congested route home. The song ended and the radio host's voice filled my ears.

"Alright! Welcome back. If you're stuck in traffic right now then don't worry, a lot of people are. Route 7 is congested due to an overturned semi..." I ignored it. I was on Highway 11, "Highway 11 is backed up due to a car accident." I sat up a little straighter. It was messed up, but car accidents fascinated me, "A large truck ran a red light and collided with the side of a red Hyundai Sonata." Thats the same car as Serrina, "The driver of the truck was fine but the driver of the Hyundai has been taken to the Hospital in critical condition. The collision has not been cleared yet so we advise everybody to take alternate routes. We will update you as we get information." She continued to babble and I groaned. They didn't give an alternate route.

I looked at the clock. 5:47. I told Serrina I would be home by 6... She was going to be pissed.

It was 6:24 when I pulled into the driveway and I was confused when Serrina's  car wasn't in the driveway. I didn't waste time going inside because I knew that if she was home she would already be mad that I was late. I swung open the door and took off my shoes.

"Daddy?" Krystal's head came around the living room wall and she looked confused, "What are you doing home already?"

"What do you mean?" I pulled my jacket off and hung it on the coat hook, "I'm late."

She crossed her arms and looked over her shoulder, "Well," She sighed, "Mom isn't back yet. She went to her appointment this morning. Maybe she's stuck in traffic." Then she shrugged, "Oh well. Im sure she'll be home soon." Then she turned around and walked out of the room, leaving me to have a little panic attack on my own.

Connor showed up in Krystals place and I saw he looked just as worried as me, "Hey." He whispered and walked over to where I was standing. I used to hate the guy because he had Serrina first, but now he was just my wife's gay best friend that was always in my house. I was used to him by now.

"She went to an appointment?" I shook my head and picked my jacket back up, "She didn't have any appointments."

He nodded, "I know." Then he crossed his arms and dropped his gaze, "She was having cramps and insisted on going to see Meghan." He bit the inside of his cheek and shrugged, "She told me she would call but I haven't heard from her."

"Why didn't she tell me?" I began putting my jacket on, "I would've stayed home." He didn't reply as I put my shoes back on, "Can you keep the kids busy? Im gonna drive around and see if I can figure out where she went."

I began to leave but he grabbed my arm and stopped me, "Justin." He mumbled and I turned back around to look at him, "Text me as soon as you find her." I nodded and then left.

First, I drove to Meghans clinic and saw that it was closed down. There was nobody there, so my next stop was the hospital. I payed for my parking and made my way to the front desk.

The woman behind it was looking up at me with a smile, "Can I help you?"

"Yeah," I gasped, "Im looking for my wife. She's about 5'5", small, pregnant."

She raised her eyebrows and sighed, "What's her name?"

"Serrina Bieber." I panted. I had been holding my breath.
