Kansas City Detour

I feel so crappy about my fight with Travis! I call Conor to tell him that I won't be going to Staples Center. I'm so lucky to be going to LAX. I see Avery, one of the girls that Travis dated. We're going to Kansas City. I tell Avery that i'm not going to Arrowhead so I could surprise Travis at the house.  I'm watching the game on Fox but my mind is worried Alex gets sacked hard! Travis looks on as Nick takes the field. I look on in shock as Denver takes a 21-0 lead! I almost freak out and Tweet Travis but I group chat Larry, Nicole and Rob.

Group Chat:

Guys, are you watching the game?

Vanessa, we are! I'm nervous! Shouldn't you be at Staples covering UFC?

Long story.

We have time.

I don't. Travis looks so defeated.

I haven't seen my brother in a funk like this.

It looks like Travis is off his game :(

I know! He's going to freak out when he sees me!

Yup! I'm not at Arrowhead! Avery is at the stadium.

LAX! Avery was in on my plan the whole time and she's at Arrowhead supporting Denver!

Guys, don't put your lives on hold for me. I need to apologize to Travis for a fight that we got in!

Yup! I have to go the second half of the game is starting.

I'm watching the game when Von Miller hits Travis hard! I look on in shock as Travis won't get up! My heart races to the point of Nick texting me from the sidelines!

Text Conversation:

Nick, how's Travis?

Vanessa, it doesn't look good! Are you at the stadium?

Nope! I can't tell you where i'm at, though!

Okay :( It looks like Travis suffered a hard hit to his head causing a concussion.

That sucks!

The game ends with a Chiefs loss  DEN 21 KC7. I look at my phone and I group chat Larry and Nicole.

Group Chat:

Guys, i'm nervous. What if Travis doesn't remember who I am?

Vanessa, Travis won't forget you. He's amazing.

I hope he's okay! Any word on the team?

Nick addressed the injury in a press conference and it got heated! With a reporter from ESPN.

Wow! How's Los Angles?

It's cool. Conor misses you! :( I feel so bad for him.

Did the fight happen?

Yeah! Nick won via knockout and Ronda won via a Judo toss Holly Holm had no chance!

As the group chat ends, I sit on the couch thinking about Travis and a song comes on. I sing it.

As a car pulls into the driveway, I smile knowing that Travis is going to be surprised. I hide in the kitchen and i'm getting worried. I breathe deep and I text Nicole.

Text Conversation:

Nicole, i'm really nervous.

Vanessa, calm down. You'll think of something!

Rember the time you flew to Tampa?

Yeah! Larry was so shocked and happy!

I should get out of the kitchen and surprise Travis!

As my conversation with Nicole ends, I plop myself back on the couch and I wait for Travis to see me! An hour later, I hear footsteps coming down the stairs and I smile wide. Travis does a double take and we hug. The surprise was a success! I look at the tight end and we sit in an uncomfortable silence. An hour later, the silence gets broken by a pair of lips on mine. My heart starts to race and the kiss gets broken! Travis starts to apologize for the way he acted about Conor. I tell him that I missed the fight to come to Kanas City to apologize for the way I acted. We sit in a comfortable silence and we're watching Grease. After the movie ends, I look really sleepy.
