A few weeks later, I enter LAX waiting for an athlete. I sit on the bench at baggage claim and the person that I'm waiting for shows up. I look up at the athlete and I notice a lot of hockey gear. Sidney is in Los Angeles with Cassie. I'm livid right now and I leave with the couple. We're in Malibu at the beach house and I start talking to Sidney. I leave the house so frustrated I sit on the beach. The stage is set up. I get on stage and sing.
I know I can't take one more step towards you
'Cause all that's waiting is regret
Don't you know I'm not your ghost anymore
You lost the love I loved the most
I learned to live half alive
And now you want me one more time
And who do you think you are?
Runnin' 'round leaving scars
Collecting your jar of hearts
And tearing love apart
You're gonna catch a cold
From the ice inside your soul
So don't come back for me
Who do you think you are?
Sidney hears the next verse.
I hear you're asking all around
If I am anywhere to be found
But I have grown too strong
To ever fall back in your arms
And I've learned to live half alive
And now you want me one more time
And who do you think you are?
Runnin' 'round leaving scars
Collecting your jar of hearts
And tearing love apart
You're gonna catch a cold
From the ice inside your soul
So don't come back for me
Who do you think you are?
I finish the song as the sun sets
And it took so long just to feel alright
Remember how to put back the light in my eyes
I wish I had missed the first time that we kissed
'Cause you broke all your promises
And now you're back
You don't get to get me back
And who do you think you are?
Runnin' 'round leaving scars
Collecting your jar of hearts
And tearing love apart
You're gonna catch a cold
From the ice inside your soul
So don't come back for me
Don't come back at all
And who do you think you are?
Runnin' 'round leaving scars
Collecting your jar of hearts
Tearing love apart
You're gonna catch a cold
From the ice inside your soul
Don't come back for me
Don't come back at all
Who do you think you are?
Who do you think you are?
Who do you think you are?
I'm back at LAX and I sit on the bench again. I sit and think about that moment I became a reporter. A few moments later, somebody sits the bench next to me. I see a Kansas City Chiefs duffel bag. I smile. Travis and I leave the airport. The moment you see the person you love they make you smile.
