The next day, I wake up to a snowy sight. I find Sidney and Kris and they have bad news about the game. I group chat with Travis and Rob.
Group Chat;
I'm freaking out and the team can't leave.
Oh no! Is it snowing in Denver?
Yeah it's snowing! The team has to make due because all the roads are closed and they have to practice for the game tonight!
I'm so sorry that you're going through this. I'm dealing with snow too in Kansas City. Arrowhead is closed.
What are you going to do for practice?
Sharpen my football skills with Madden. I can't wait to see the team.
What's going on?
A football game for charity. Travis and Jason are hosting it.
I was supposed to do commentary.
Oh boy! I'm on Twitter and you're the subject of a few rumors, Vanessa.
What are the rumors, Travis?
That you're with another guy.
I'm traveling with Sidney and his teammates on the six game road trip for the Penguins. How are news outlets getting confused?
I'm not sure. Did anybody on the Penguins tip off anybody?
The Paparazzi aren't here in Denver! They're going to be relentless after the trip ends and I get back to Los Angeles. I'm so worried.
Don't worry. They're not going to be around.
Rob, don't do anything you'll regret.
I won't.
Jackson!
He'll be happy to see me.
Just before this road trip ends, I need you guys to watch Trolls. Justin Timberlake is a character in the movie.
I'm down.
I have to go.
Bye! 😘
See you later! 🤗
Ball arena here we come! I'm on the bus with the team and I get nervous. I'm freaking out and I have a couple of hours before the game starts. I sit in the press room and I ponder the situation I am in. I text Rob,
Text Conversation:
Rob, freaking out right now!
Vanessa is it the altitude?
No. It's the situation I am in with Travis.
Oh man. I'm in San Diego with Jackson.
Aw. Glad you're having a great night with Jackson.
I'm going to be watching the game online.
Good job. I have to go. The game is about to start.
Bye.
Sitting in the press room and I watch the first period of the game. Nervously I eat the catering. Worry sets in as intermission happens. Sidney walks by the press room and enters it. I look up and he sees the streaks of makeup flowing down. A few moments later, we embrace. After the embrace, the second period starts. I cheer on the Penguins and the team scores four goals. Forty minutes later the, game ends and the Penguins celebrate victory.
