I'm at the studio on the couch in my office thinking about Travis. A few moments later, I see a crate getting put outside my office and I see a dog. He's cute and I notice a collar with the name Jackson. I grab my phone and I text Travis.
Text Conversation:
Travis, I just got a dog named Jackson.
He'll keep you company while I'm away.
I just saw John Wick. What if something happens to him?
Normally I would be worried. Jackson is the best guard dog. He's a Great Dane and I know how protective he is.
What if Jackson meets a gnarly fate?
He won't. You're in safe paws. I saw Jackson and his name stuck.
This wouldn't have anything to do with my Sons of Anarchy box set?
I took inspiration from the show to name him. He's a good and loyal dog. Is he with you?
Jackson is with me. He's watching me work and he's a great dog. I have to go do a segment with Tyler.
I have to pick up Jackson. See you in your office.
😘
I head to the segment area and I see Tyler. I get ready for the segment and it starts. A moment later, the segment ends and I get ready to go home. I see the crate that Jackson was in is missing so that means he's home with Travis. I drive home and I park my car. Jackson greets me by licking my face causing me to scratch his ear. Travis and Jackson were watching a sports movie. I sit in my bedroom and I feel a paw in my hand. I look at Jackson and I sit on the floor. A few moments later, Travis and Jackson are playing on the floor. The three of us leave the studio. A few moments later, we arrive home. Jackson takes in his new house and I smile. Three weeks later, I'm at LAX saying goodbye to Travis. I leave the airport with Jackson and get back home. I feed him and enjoy the day. An hour later, the door bell rings scarring Jackson and making me nervous. I get a text.
Text Conversation:
Vanessa, it's Rob just checking in on you. You okay?
Yeah, Rob we're fine.
You just used we're. Do you have another person with you?
No I don't have another person. I have a dog named Jackson that Travis gave to me. Want to meet him?
Sure.
I open the door and invite Rob inside. Jackson looks so nervous around my friend. I encourage the dog to go to Rob and they hit it off. The Great Dane and tight end go outside to play. I grab my phone and I text Travis.
Text Conversation:
Hi
Hi
Are you okay?
Not really.
What's wrong?
I had a bad practice.
Aw. You'll do better tomorrow.
I hope so. How is Jackson?
He's outside with Rob.
That's great! How are you?
I'm okay. I miss you.
I miss you too. Kansas City isn't the same.
How come?
You're not here. The distance between us is starting to get to me and I messed up.
You're going to have a great practice and I hope you and the team will get glory.
Thanks. I have to get back to the practice field and get my stuff.
Bye!
Bye! 😘
After the conversation ends, I sit on the bar stool and I hit play on a song.
Thunder, ah
Thunder, ah
Thunder, ah
Thunder, ah
Thunder, ah
Thunder, ah
Thunder, ah
Thunder, ah
Thunder, ah
Thunder, ah
I was caught
In the middle of a railroad track (thunder)
I looked round
And I knew there was no turning back (thunder)
My mind raced
And I thought what could I do? (thunder)
And I knew
There was no help, no help from you (thunder)
Sound of the drums
Beating in my heart
The thunder of guns (yeah)
Tore me apart
You've been
Thunderstruck
Rode down the highway
Broke the limit, we hit the town
Went through the Texas, yeah Texas, and we had some fun
We met some girls
Some dancers who gave a good time
Broke all the rules
Played all the fools
Yeah yeah they, they, they blew our minds
And I was shaking at the knees
Could I come again please
Yeah them ladies were too kind
You've been
Thunderstruck
Thunderstruck
Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, Thunderstuck
Oooh, Thunderstuck
(Yeah)
I was shaking at the knees
Could I come again please
Thunderstruck
Thunderstruck
Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, Thunderstruck, Thunderstruck
Yeah, Yeah, Yeah
Yeah It's alright, we're doin' fine
Yeah It's alright, we're doin' fine, fine, fine
Thunderstruck, yeah, yeah, yeah
Thunderstruck, Thunderstruck
Thunderstruck, whoa, baby, baby
Thunderstruck, you've been Thunderstruck
Thunderstruck, Thunderstruck, Thunderstruck
You've been Thunderstruck
