A few moments later, we get set up in Patrick's house. The concussion that made Travis loopy also made his memory hazy. I try to keep positive and I smile. I get my scrapbook to see if any memories come back. The pages get flipped and photos get seen. The picture that has the most significance is the one from our first meeting. I tell Travis that he was my first interview at ESPN. I tell him our first date, first fight, and where we are now. It's a long story but I get happy about one thing, we're always going to be a good support system. I leave Travis with my scrapbook. A few moments later, I see my scrapbook on the coffee table but no trace of Travis. My heart starts to race and I go to the backyard. I see Patrick by the pool. I grab my phone and I text Rob.
Text Conversation:
Gronk, how is Jackson doing?
Hey Vanessa, he's fine.
Has anybody relieved you from dog sitting?
Nah. JJ came by the house though. My brothers also came by.
That's great. Did you throw a party?
No. Jackson stayed around the house but he got nervous about something that happened next door.
What happened to our neighbor?
A fight. I was asleep when it all went down. Jackson woke me up by barking. I knew something was wrong just by his state.
Jackson is a great dog for doing a great thing. Even though I'm in Kansas City, I am thankful that you're with him, Rob.
I wouldn't be a great dog sitter if I left him alone.
That would make me 💔. Stay safe, Rob! 🤗
You too. 🤗
After my conversation with Rob ends, I see Travis sitting in a green house. I enter the green house. I grab a guitar and I play a song.
Nice to meet you, where you been?
I could show you incredible things
Magic, madness, heaven, sin
Saw you there and I thought
Oh my God, look at that face
You look like my next mistake
Love's a game, wanna play?
New money, suit and tie
I can read you like a magazine
Ain't it funny, rumors fly
And I know you heard about me
So hey, let's be friends
I'm dying to see how this one ends
Grab your passport and my hand
I can make the bad guys good for a weekend
So it's gonna be forever
Or it's gonna go down in flames
You can tell me when it's over
If the high was worth the pain
Got a long list of ex-lovers
They'll tell you I'm insane
'Cause you know I love the players
And you love the game
'Cause we're young and we're reckless
We'll take this way too far
It'll leave you breathless
Or with a nasty scar
Got a long list of ex-lovers
They'll tell you I'm insane
But I've got a blank space, baby
And I'll write your name
Cherry lips, crystal skies
I could show you incredible things
Stolen kisses, pretty lies
You're the King, baby, I'm your Queen
Find out what you want
Be that girl for a month
Wait, the worst is yet to come, oh no
Screaming, crying, perfect storms
I can make all the tables turn
Rose garden filled with thorns
Keep you second guessing like
"Oh my God, who is she?"
I get drunk on jealousy
But you'll come back each time you leave
'Cause, darling, I'm a nightmare dressed like a daydream
So it's gonna be forever
Or it's gonna go down in flames
You can tell me when it's over
If the high was worth the pain
Got a long list of ex-lovers
They'll tell you I'm insane
'Cause you know I love the players
And you love the game
'Cause we're young and we're reckless
We'll take this way too far
It'll leave you breathless
Or with a nasty scar
Got a long list of ex-lovers
They'll tell you I'm insane
But I've got a blank space, baby
And I'll write your name
Boys only want love if it's torture
Don't say I didn't say, I didn't warn ya
Boys only want love if it's torture
Don't say I didn't say, I didn't warn ya
So it's gonna be forever
Or it's gonna go down in flames
You can tell me when it's over
If the high was worth the pain
Got a long list of ex-lovers
