Tris' POV
I grasp at anything I can to help Christina up hurriedly. I grasp onto her hand, and then her arms, and then her shirt; anything to just help her get moving.
"C-Come on Christina, I can heal you." I say rather unconfidently. I didn't exactly know how long healing someone like this would take.
I am helping to support Christina walk forward finally when I suddenly hear some shifting noises behind me.
I stiffen immensely and blink a bit. It couldn't possibly be Eric, could it?
But then suddenly, as if to answer my question, something hard shoves me from behind, causing for me to fall forward with Christina at my side.
I give a grunt, and Christina gives a loud cry in her pain before I can jerk my head around to see who the culprit is.
I turn and I am immediately face-to-face with none other than Eric himself.
Fear and agony stabs me like a thousand knives. There was no way I could run and save Christina all at once.
"Well, Well, Well! What have we here, Tris?" Eric snarls viciously as he towers above me now. I stare at him with hard, wide eyes before leaping to my feet. I drag Christina with me as Eric swings his hammer at us next. I can feel the hammer just miss us by an inch as it then swings into a nearby tree.
There comes a rough sound at the impact of Eric's weapon and the tree but I pay no mind.
He missed and that's all the time I needed.
I race as fast as I can with Christina at my side now, her sides heaving and her mouth giving off a few grunts every now and then. I tug on her arm though and keep her up to pace with me. I knew Eric would surely follow us.
Behind us, I can hear Eric give off a frustrated yell.
"C-Come on Christina! I know you can do it!" I now beg my friend, my voice sounding strangled from the encounter I just had with the terrifying Eric.
Together we rush around some machines and farming equipment and head for the old abandoned tower in the distance, where I had last seen Peter not too long ago.
But we would never make it with Eric hot on our tails.
I keep running though, and pulling and yanking at Christina to keep up. I knew it was hard for her, but she needed to escape than to rest right now.
I jerk my head over my shoulder next to see exactly where Eric was. He was already gaining on us, with only a few feet between us.
Suddenly though, from out of no-where, some movement catches my attention to my right. A black blur rushes in behind us and suddenly yanks down a random pallet-board to block Eric's pursuit. The board topples down between some machines lying around in the grass which causes for Eric to give a grunt. He was stopped but not for long.
I lurch my head back over my shoulder to see who had saved us. My eyes connect with none other than the familiar figure of Tobias. My heart leaps.
T-Tobias! You came!
A small dash of hope springs into my feet as me and Christina continue our flee.
Eric of course gives off another angered yell at this. "You'll pay for this Four!" he threatens, and within a few moments, his voice fades behind us.
I continue running with Christina limping at my side. We had actually managed to escape the dreaded Eric... And it was all thanks to Tobias.
I hurriedly lead Christina towards the tower, but then I suddenly start to rethink about our hiding position. The tower was far too obvious to go. So instead, I lead her to an area with a lot of trees, next to one of the many sides of the fence.
