Tobias' POV

I try and help Christina in every way I can. But everything I do just seemed to always make things worst or more uncomfortable for her.

"Ugh. Where the heck is Tris?" Christina then groans after a while, her pain obviously still bothering her pretty badly.

I only shrug but I can't help but feel a bit worried for Tris myself. I wasn't expecting for her to take this long.

Just chill out Tobias. She's fine. She's Dauntless and she can take care of herself.

But I couldn't quite convince myself that she was going to be okay. I needed to actually know. And it was beginning to bug me, like a fly would around someone's food.

"I-If she keeps this pace up, I might not even make it." Christina then groggily jokes below me next, her eyes holding a more serious-look to them though.

I glance towards Christina at this and cast her a small disapproved look. I disliked how Christina was beginning to blame this all on Tris.

Tris had risked her life by volunteering to do this.. so Christina shouldn't really be saying anything about it.

I am just about to suggest that perhaps I should go looking for Tris myself, when suddenly a weird and rather dark sensation begins to quickly come over me, like I felt as if I needed to move or something.

Hm?

The dark, tetchy feeling began nabbing at me more and I started to slowly then feel a bit uneasy.

P-Perhaps this is one of my perks?

I had checked out my perks upon my small device near the beginning of the round when Tris and I had split up so abruptly. My device had told me that my perks were Speed-Boost, Premonition, Adrenaline, and Dark Sense.

I quickly ran through what each of my perks meant within my head. The device had described what each one meant to me by giving an explanation.

And then I got it.

Premonition.

I hurriedly recalled how I read that Premonition gave me the undeniable capability to sense danger. It meant that I gained some sort of warning sensation whenever Eric would be nearby...

How could I have been so stupid to not have known about my sensation quicker! I had totally forgotten about my perks!

I instantly snap my attention back onto Christina. "We have to move. Now." I mutter lowly and strictly, my eyes darting towards any moving thing that I could see nearby.

"W-What? Why?" Christina's voice is noticeably quieter already and her eyes had already begun to grow large.

"Eric. He's near us." I explain, my brain rapidly trying to think of a good way to hide Christina from eye-view. She wasn't too capable of moving too far.

"A-And how would you know this, Four?" Christina then asks rather suspiciously, her eyes becoming more and more frantic as I look around.

"My perks. I have Premonition. Gives me the capability to sense danger nearby. And that's Eric." I clarify hurriedly, causing for her to then clamp a hand around her mouth in disbelief at our situation we were getting into.

"I-I'm going to have to move you. So sit still and shut up." I instruct next before I then reach down to lift her up. I gently place one hand under her legs and another under the middle-portion of her back. She contorts her face in agony and pain but she obediently keeps her mouth closed.

I then very carefully shift her to a more denser and darker area around the trees and rocks we were at. The moonlight wasn't very bright over here due to the lofty trees above us so this would at least help hide her decently.

My sensation of nearby danger was still buzzing at me within the back of my head wildly. I knew Eric was surely getting closer to us.

Once I sat Christina where I wanted her though I then began to cover her with debris on the ground and dead grass.

The injured girl's eyes were huge yet trusting as she watched me work, and I knew that she was probably wanting to thank me for helping her so much, but I wasn't the type who really needed any gratitude.

"W-What about you?" She then whispers very softly and this makes me shrug a bit. "I'll stay nearby but we can't be found in the same hiding spot." I inform her rather smartly next. After I feel she is well-hidden I then start to slowly ease myself away from her area.

I am close to a nearby tree when I suddenly hear movement within the dark expanse nearby. I feel myself tense and try and relax a bit.

Stay calm.

I wasn't really even too used to being so compacted into myself within this crouching position I was in at the moment. But I knew I would be less easier to spot if I crouched.

Moments passed as I continued to feel my Premonition going off within my head.

I was soon beginning to think that perhaps Eric had moved on and maybe my Premonition was just taking a while to wear off, when suddenly a loud scream pitches my ears through the night.

My heart lurches and my mind instantaneously alive.

What if he's found Tris?

An anxious feeling instantly warps me and I am immediately on me feet and moving towards the source of the sound.

I trusted that Christina would be okay back where I left her for a bit. All I wanted to know was whether or not Eric had gotten to Tris.

I continued walking at a decent pace through the mystified and dark area. Nothing seemed to look too friendly around this MacMillan Estate abode. I had seen the name of this dank place on a sign just above the doors that Peter had led us through.

That was when Tris and I had to depart from each other too.

But I won't leave her again. I now tell myself instinctively. I wasn't about to let her go wandering through this place any longer without me at her side. Injuries or no injuries either. Medkits weren't that important to be risking a life over.

I hurry onwards a little more until I suddenly remember that I have my device.

The device will inform me of who is hurt.

I hurriedly whip my device out of my pocket, just in sheer franticness for the truth. The screen lights up and immediately reveals the names of the survivors.

But Tris' name wasn't outlined in red, and she didn't hold an injured status.

Peter did.
