Tris' POV
My world chokes me. Too many thoughts were running through my head.
After Tobias had been brutally ensnared by a bear trap I had totally forgotten my purpose on running from Eric. I didn't even attempt to run again because I had been too worried on Tobias' state. He had just gotten knocked backwards from a generator explosion and then he had been caught in a trap. All in the same hour.
My heart had wrenched itself upside down practically and I couldn't stand the look Tobias had then given me in his sign of sorrowful defeat.
Eric had then attacked me again and he went on to taunt Tobias while I was just his simple weapon of choice against him.
I had seen the hurt in Tobias' eyes and they reflected my own hurt for him.
Eric had then dragged me into the basement and then had begun to brutally beat on me, but not with his usual sledgehammer, but with his own bare hands. He told me he wanted Four to remember this moment.
I had kicked and fought as hard as I could against my harassment but nothing worked, especially since I had been brutally injured from the sledgehammer in the first place.
I am now pushed violently to the cold floor of the basement, my mind frantic and my body shaking with undeniable fear.
The last time I had been to this dreadful place was when I had come in search of a medkit for Christina and Tobias. I had met up with Peter down here....
But now there was no medkit and now there was no Peter. Just Eric.
"Come on Trissy, wouldn't you like a taste of a real man for once in your pathetic life?" A mocking tone now suddenly scoffs from behind me and all I can think to do is close my eyes and brace myself.
Just as I thought, I then feel a hard fist come down on my right hip and I instinctively let out a groaning cry. Eric was never going to be through playing with me. I knew he liked to bask in his glorious moments and this was definitely one of them.
"Look at me when I am talking to you, you little brat!" His voice now roars at me again before I suddenly then feel his hands grasp at me. All I cared about though is continuously supporting my side with one of my hands. The compression helped eased my horrible pain.
He continues to grasp at me before I randomly find the strength to kick at him and he sneers at me.
"Pfft. Playtime is over. Say goodbye." He spits at last before he finally then ripples his two rough hands under my stomach and I tremble terribly. His nails then dig into my skin as he hauls me upright again and I can't help but let out a shriek and he chuckles contently at this.
Anger and hate consumes me completely.
He lifts me up, his hands going viciously from my hips to under my arms, before he then just slides my figure right onto the tip of an outstretched hook and I instantaneously begin to gag with pain.
The hook pierces me, as nothing but my own flesh and skin hangs off of the end of it and I cry breathlessly.
I now had no thoughts, nor any specific region in pain on my body; for my entire being was undertaking pain at last.
Eric had finally gotten me on a hook.
I hang limply now with my arms by my side and with my feet touching no earth or ground beneath me. All I could do was stare into the eyes of my attacker, his face holding nothing but a dark look and his eyes swimming in triumph towards me.
I am just beginning to feel the lights lift from me though, when suddenly there comes a loud infuriating yell and my eyes slowly move to spot none other than Tobias at the staircase to this monstrous room.
T-Tobias!! Y-You came!
His foot was badly injured and his forehead still held a massive bruising scar but for the most part his eyes still withheld that same energy and anger that I've always recognized within him.
He lunges at Eric now, who is instantly taken by surprise.
The two yell something at one another at which I cannot make out.
I then watch as Tobias shoves Eric against one of the walls before he then turns his attention and his enraged look onto me. Once his eyes meet mine though they soften immediately and all anger is gone.
He hurriedly grips me with his hands, his smooth and gentle hands, and lifts me up and off of the hook and sets me onto the floor next below.
My lungs instantly snap to life again and I begin gagging for air, my body reviving and my senses slightly returning already.
Behind me though, I then hear a suddenly loud and revolting roar from Eric. "Oh, now you're both really in for it!"
I turn my head to watch as Tobias and Eric then just collide with an onset of frenzying punches and hits.
Tobias though is immediately shoved to the floor out of his weakened state. He wasn't fit to fight Eric head-on at this time with the many injuries he had already claimed.
Eric now then turns to me, his eyes burning with rage and his eyes sucking me in like some starving predator.
N-No! No, no, no! Not again!
I tense and brace myself for my next final moments when suddenly I catch the sound of thrumming feet coming from somewhere.
Eric hears it to and pauses in his execution over me.
We then both jerk our heads in the direction to which the sound was coming from; the stairs.
My eyes light up as I fondly identify the figure of Peter as he bursts down into the room like some crazed maniac.
All time seems to stop as Peter then whips out a random object from his pocket. He flips it on and instantly a bright light bursts into the room and he aims the object for Eric's eyes.
I quickly recognize the simple item and gasp.
A flashlight!?
