Tobias' POV

I breathe heavily with exhaustion. My arms were aching now and my heart was still pounding out of the situation me and Tris had just been in.

Eric had literally walked right by us just nearby. I heard his footsteps and I had placed my whole body weight down upon Tris below me out of a precaution for giving ourselves away.

I now laid rigidly and tiredly along Tris, her frame already beginning to shift from under me. I force myself to a sitting position so that she could get up and as she does, she turns to me with a new look of fondness and astonishment for me, her eyes claiming mine within seconds.

"T-Tobias that was incredible of you." She breathes now and I am rather surprised at her words.

"What do you mean?" I pant, my arms still aching from holding myself above Tris for an extended amount of time.

She blinks and continues just holding my gaze. "The way you acted and thought that out so quickly was simply astounding Tobias. Y-You saved both of us from Eric... You really did." She now explains and with this I furrow my eyebrows just slightly at her. "Yes but I would have never known when to hide without your Spine-Chill perk you have. That's truly helpful Tris, we need to be aware of it more often." I next point out to her and she nods in agreement.

"Well, what about your own perks?" She then prods me and I lean my head thoughtfully. "Well my perks are Speed-Boost, Premonition, Adrenaline, and Dark Sense. My Premonition perk is actually quite similar to your Spine-Chill really... but for some reason I had only just started to feel it's sensation a little after you already warned us with your own perk." I explicate now rather disappointedly.

"I guess Spine-Chill and Premonition are similar perks, but Premonition must mean something a little differently if it only began working later after yours did." I conceive thoroughly and with this Tris gives me a look though.

"Wait, but you have a Speed-Boost? What's that?" She inquires now with interest and all I do is cast her a shrug. "Speed-Boost is literally just about a five second extra speed increase to your normal running speed." I describe to the fascinated girl next, and she gives me a blissful look.

"It gives me this Speed-Boost every time I take off running, or even if I pause at my running and then I take off again." I also add and she blinks in awe.

"Sounds handy. Even though you're already an amazingly fast runner." Tris then compliments and with this I slice a smile at her and she smiles back.

The Speed-Boost perk would honestly be more handy if I were running from someone like Eric alone. Because if I'm running with Tris from Eric, I will not want to use my Speed-Boost...

I wouldn't leave her behind for nothing.

"Well come on. We should continue our search for Christina before Eric finds her first." Tris now suddenly suggests and I nod.

As I rise to my feet I can't help but cut a glance down along Tris' body and her edges. I had rather enjoyed climbing on top of her just then. It had been pleasurable for me and I couldn't help but want to touch her some more.

"You coming?" Tris' voice then questions at me and I shake my head vigorously next to get my arousing thoughts out of my mind. "Oh, right. Sorry, I was just lost in thought."

I then follow her as she leads the way along beside some broken brick slabs which arose from the ground in a crumbly manner.

At random points some crows would caw overhead within the trees and it would noticeably cause for Tris to jump a bit out of unexpected fear.
