Tris' POV
"Tris!"
I hear someone call my name and I open my eyes.
My surroundings are blurry and my head is spinning madly. But I knew I had to get moving, because I knew what had totally happened.
I knew it would totally happen. And I should have been more aware...
Christina had blown up the generator. She had lost her focused and it would probably cost us our positions now.
I had been too busy being caught up in Tobias' loving act for me. I had lost my own focus too.
"Tris!"
I try to move.
"Tris! Please! Get up!" The voice yells at me again, and I immediately identify that it is Christina.
I feel her hands next suddenly grasp my arms before she then pulls me to my unsteady feet.
I was still shaking my head though and my eyes were still adjusting as I finally become more conscious of what was going on now.
The generator was dead silent, but there was definitely noise within the night. Footsteps.
Footsteps was the first sound that met my ears.
And the footsteps were running.
W-Who is running?
I jerk my head behind me to suddenly see a tall, pale, skinny boy leap from over a crumbling brick wall nearby. His face was wet with sweat and his chest was heaving madly from his running. His eyes were stricken with fear.
My mind could not comprehend or grasp the scene before me.
I-It's Peter!
The footsteps had belonged to Peter!
It is then though that I see who is chasing him, and I feel my heart drop and my stomach clench.
Eric.
"C-Come on! We have to run!" Christina now suddenly urges me, her voice trembling and her movements antsy.
But I could not even think about the possibility of running yet. I was missing someone.
I lurch my head next in every direction until I suddenly spot Tobias nearby with his head already claiming a nasty colored bruise. He had been blasted backwards from the explosion of the generator and into the side of a rock.
T-Tobias!
He was conscious and stirring, but he was only just beginning to sit up now, and he had a hand already moving for his forehead in pain.
Crazed alarm electrifies through me in total fear.
What should I do? I could not leave Tobias and just run scared with Christina. There was no way that was happening.
Peter, who had clearly spotted us, now rushes past me with his arms pumping and his legs sprinting intensely. "Go! Fools, Run!!" Is all he then yells though as he heads off into the mist of the night.
I was too stricken though to move.
Peter was here. He had found us... but he had also led Eric straight into us. And Tobias was not even at his feet yet.
"I-I'm sorry Tris, but I can't just stand here anymore!" Christina now suddenly shouts, and I can feel my veins light up on fire with anguish and anger towards her abruptly.
