Today was the day of Nia's baby shower. I'm real excited to show her the nursery. Chris and I worked very hard on it and we hope she'll love it. I looked in the mirror admiring the way my maroon colored jumpsuit looked on my body. A couple of days ago, I dyed my hair red. Everyone has really loved how the color suited my skin. I walked out of the bedroom and down the stairs. Chris and Nia decided on having the baby shower here. All morning, people have been in and out of the house setting things up. I walked out back to see Nia directing two men where to sit the tables.

"Hey Nia." I greeted. She looked over at me and smiled.

"Hi Kai'lani. You're looking beautiful as always."

"And so are you." I told her as I rubbed her belly.

"Where's that boyfriend of yours? He supposed to helping me out."

"He told me he was going to the studio then he'll be back to help."

She sighed, "Great, just great."

"How about I help? I can see you're getting stressed and we don't need you stressed. You just tell me what to do and I'll help in the best possible why I can." I suggested.

"You would do that for me?" She inquired.

"Of course I would." I told her with a smile.

three hours later

The baby shower was up and running. Everyone close to both Nia and Chris were here. I've met some new people and had a conversation with a couple people I've known for a couple of years thanks to my job. Chris was with Nia doing whatever. I knew he wasn't going to be able to be with me but he could at least acknowledge my presences. Melissa walked over to me with two glasses in her hand. She handed me one and I took a sit on a bench under the tree.

"Everything is truly beautiful, I can't wait to have my baby shower." Melissa stated. I forgot to say that Melissa is two months pregnant. When I found out, I was very excited because I'll have a baby to spoil.

"I can't either, it'll be bomb just like this one." I told her. I sipped the sparkling cider and watched everyone dance. Aliana walked over to Melissa and I and took a seat beside me.

"You good?" She inquired.

"Yeah, I'm just kind of tired. I've been up since the people started setting up which was around five thirty this morning." I told her.

"You look bad as hell though. I haven't seen Chris, this happy in a long time. That smile on his face hasn't left ever since I walked out here. I'm glad he has you and is about to have his daughter. I think this will help him out in the long run." Aliana stated. I looked over at Chris who was smiling from ear to ear. I seen that he was genuinely happy.

He glanced up from the camera and our eyes met. I looked away and drank the rest of my apple cider. I seen him walking my way. He took both of my hands and gently helped me up. He pecked my lips and wrapped his arms around my waist.

"I'm sorry for not greeting you or saying how beautiful you look at the moment babe." He apologized. I smiled and kissed his cheek.

"It's okay baby, you're just taking care of responsibility toward your child. I understand." I told him. He nodded and kissed my forehead.

"We're about to announce gifts so come on." He told me. I nodded and followed him up to the group of people. Nia grabbed a microphone and started to speak.

"I want to thank everyone for coming and for their gifts for our baby girl. I'm looking forward to waking up every morning and watch our little girl grow and nurture. I want to teach her to take every opportunity in life. I want her to have the best things in life, the things I didn't have when I was growing up. I want her to realize what the world is really like because one day, she might have face unpredictable thing. Now I will turn it over to Carter, thank you for coming again."

Chris grabbed the microphone from her, "That was a beautiful speech. She's carrying our daughter, my first daughter. Nia, I know you are going to be a amazing mother because you're a strong, amazing woman. I hope our daughter learned how to be strong and independent just like you are. I want my daughter to know that she'll always have my heart. I want her to know that I'll always be there for her even when I'm away on tour. I'll always protect her. Thank y'all for coming and our little Royalty will be here in less than a month." Chris spoke as he rubbed Nia's belly.

"One more thing, my current girlfriend and I have a surprise for both Nia and Royalty so would everyone follow us." Chris instructed. He took my hand in his and we lead everyone up the stairs to the door of Royalty's bedroom.

"Since you'll be staying Chris, we both thought that we give Royalty the best of everything. I can't take the credit but I just helped with a few things. So without further ado, we present Royalty's nursery." I announced as I opened the door. I walked in after Nia and Chris did. Nia gasped and looked around. She touched the crib and smiled.

"Thank you guys so much." She thanked as she pulled Chris and I into a hug.

"We just want Royalty's room to be cute but also have an edge hence the little toy guitar Chris had purchased. I'm really happy for you guys."

"I don't think I'll ever be able to thank you guys enough. Everything is truly beautiful."

"There's more." Chris told her. He lead her to the closet and opened it. The large closet was felt with closet that ranged from infant to toddler. There was also shoes sitting on the top rack.

"Oh my god!" She gasped. She walked around and looked at all of the clothes with a smile on her face and tears running down her cheeks.

"Kai helped me with some of the clothes but I picked majority of the things up." Chris cheesed. She turned and hugged us both again. I'm really glad she loves everything.
