I sat in the guest room of August's home. He's the only person I could think of going to. It's been a couple of days since I've spoken to Chris. He's been blowing up my phone to the point where I just turned it off. There was a knock on the door before it opened. August walked in with a small smile.
"How ya' feelin'?" He inquired as he took a seat beside me.
"Better, I'm just still a little mad." I told him. Before he could say anything else my phone began to rang. I sighed and thought to myself it was probably Chris. I grabbed it and seen it was my doctor. I slid the bar and put the phone up to my ear.
"Hello Mrs. Brown, I have some news."
"What's wrong Kenneth?" I inquired. August looked at me with a questionable look.
"I was reviewing your urine sample and it seems as if you have gonorrhea."
"No Kenneth, that's impossible."
"It is, I need you to come in tomorrow so we can discuss this matter. The baby is fine but if you do not receive treatment, there is a possible for a miscarriage." He told me.
"Okay I'll be there tomorrow as soon as you open. Thanks Kenneth." I spoke before hanging up. It felt as if my entire world was breaking. I dropped my phone not caring if it was broken or not and started to cry. I know Chris gave this to me, I know he did. Him messing with that girl has left us both with a STD.
"Lani what's wrong?" August inquired as he wrapped his arms around me and pulled me close to him.
"Chris gave me gonorrhea and I have to go to the doctor's office tomorrow to get treatment if I don't then I'll possibly have a miscarriage." I explained through the tears. I felt August's body tense up under mine.
"Ya' want me to give you some time to ya' self?" He inquired.
"No I don't want to be alone right now. I can't believe this, I get cheated on and left with a STD." I croaked. He sighed and rocked our bodies side to side.
"You'll be fine Lani. Go get this treatment and ensure that the baby is okay. That's the most important thing; you and the baby getting treated. I don't care how long you have to stay, you can stay here and we can work something out." He assured. I sighed and nodded my head.
"Take a nap then we can go where you wanna go." He told me. I just laid down and he threw the blanket over my body. He got up and turned off the lamp before walking out of the room.

I was ready to take a swing at Chris's head. First he cheated on her then he gave her a STD while she's pregnant with their child. I swear he takes her for granted, he's always hurting her. I walked out to the back and sat down. I took my pre rolled blunt out of the ashtray and lit it. I took a hit and chuckled to myself.
"Aug." I heard Kai call out. I put out my blunt and looked back in her direction. She was fully dressed making me guess she was ready to head out.

"Louisiana." She smiled and I looked at her like she was crazy.
"Ya' serious?"
"Yeah I need a break from LA. It'll be nice to go back down there."
I smiled, "Well let's get a week's worth of clothes. What about Leilani?"
