Kai'lani I. Perez ↠ two months later
It's been two months since the opening of Sorella which is a very big hit. It's also been a month since August and I have broken it off. We decided to break up because he was going to be on tour for a year. He didn't want to have me around here waiting for him to get back. He wants to give me his undivided attention and he knew he couldn't do that while on tour. We're still the best of friends and we still Facetime when we're both not busy.
Our next goal for Sorella is to open a build a store in New York and we were close to achieving it. One of Heather's friends were closing their fashion store and handed over the deed to her. We were working as fast as we can to get the store up and running. We're traveling to New York the day after tomorrow. I'm really excited because we'll be near my hometown of Harlem, New York. I haven't been to Harlem in a while and I might drive there to say hey to my family or what not.
Currently August and I were on Facetime discussing what I was going to wear to the cookout/gathering for Heather and I. It was Trell's idea and I've never been one to turn down a meal.
"Ya' are not wearing them damn shorts, I'mma tell ya' that right now." August spoke.
"Why not? You ain't my damn daddy."
"I was your daddy though. 'Daddy please don't stop' or 'Daddy right there'. Little girl don't think I forgot." He smirked causing me to blush.
"You're so damn petty. What about this?" I inquired holding up a black jumpsuit with long light brown trench coat.
"There we go. Pair those with a hat and those 12's I got you and you'll be looking like a million dollars." He smiled. I nodded and walked over to my shoe rack. I grabbed the black and gold Jordan 12 retro's August had gotten for me. I turned and showed them to him.
"Perfect, I've gotta go to rehearsal but I will talk to you when I get back."
"Talk to you later flav." I told him before he hung up. I changed into the outfit and shoes before walking over to my newly found hat collection. August had put together a hat collection for me and I greatly appreciated it. I grabbed my hat with the 'H' on it before walking out of my closet. I grabbed my Chanel purse from the chaise and walked out of my bedroom.

YG's Who Do You Love played throughout the large speakers. Kai sat down at a table sipping on a Corona and watched as people interacted with each other. Her best friends couldn't attend because they had things to do. Melissa was now seven and a half months and was recently placed on bed rest while CJ had gotten a boyfriend who he has went to Baton Rouge with.
"I thought I would come over since you look bored out of your mind." Aliana spoke as she sat down. She sat down beside Kai'lani and sipped Hennessy from her white styrofoam cup.
"I am to be honest, my best friends couldn't make it and I don't have a boyfriend anymore so I'm basically screwed." She sighed as she finished off the rest of her Corona.
"You got me, you're cool in my book. You are the only one out of Chris's many girlfriends that I've clicked with." Aliana admitted.
"That's good to know, at first I thought letting Kae be with him was okay but I can see it in his eye that he isn't as happy as when they first started dating."
"You seen it too? Girl I thought I was the only one." She joked. Kai'lani shook her head and sat down her empty Corona bottle.
"I'll be back, I need another Corona or something with a little more kick." Kai'lani excused herself from the conversation and walked inside. Chris and Karrueche walked in hand-in-hand as the smell of food hit them both. Karrueche let him go and walked outside to the back. Chris walked into the kitchen to see Kai'lani filling her cup with Hennessy.
"You drink now?" Chris inquired startling Kai'lani. She jumped and quickly turned around. Once she realized it was Chris, she sighed and turned back around.
"Chris you scared me and to answer your question, I've been drinking." She told him. She screwed the top onto the Hennessy bottle. She turned to face Chris and smiled. He missed her beautiful smile, hell he missed her.
"How's Sorella?" He inquired.
"It's doing good, we're going to New York for a month to finalize everything but you probably already knew that. How's Royalty?"
"She's doing great, she just turned six month three days ago."
"That's good, how Karrueche and the baby?" She inquired as she took a sip of Hennessy. The brown liquor stung her throat making her shut her eyes quickly. She opening them to see Chris standing in front of her. He smiled at her and took the cup from her hands. He took a sip from her cup and handed it back.
"She's too damn hormonal, one day she's all on me and the next she's throwing things and messing my stuff up. We're not going to last much longer." He told her. In her mind, she was smiling but she kept her composure.
"She's going to have her days Chris but you just can't quit on her." She asserted. He knew she didn't mean what she was saying.
"Your happy I want to break things off with her, aren't you?" He inquired with a smirk. Kai looked to the side.
"Maybe, maybe not but I know I'm not about to break you or her. I'm not about to be one of those chicks who mess with a relationship just because she would like to have her ex back. When both of you are broken up and have decided a arrangement about the child in her stomach then you and I can discuss something but until then we are friends, nothing more or less." She told him. He smiled and nodded his head.
"I'm cool with that and I'm happy that you're such a woman about it."
"I've always been a woman Chris. Classy, never trashy. You should know me better than that." She smirked.
"I do that's why I'm fighting the urge to kiss you right now." He admitted. Kai smirked and walked past him.
"I might be all yours when you two break up, you never know."
