It has been four months since Chris and I have gotten married. It's been amazing, the honeymoon was in Italy and it was so beautiful. I've been placed on bed rest since my eighth month of pregnancy. It's been boring but I've caught up with my reading and other things. Did I mention I was two weeks overdue. I'm now forty two weeks and I'm ready to get this baby out of me.
"How are you feeling babe?" Chris inquired.
"If one more person asks me that, I think I'm going to murder them. I feel like I'm going to explode."
He sighed and sat down beside me, "I know it you want to get our little Leilani out of you but you can't rush her." He told me as rubbed my belly.
"I wish I could, she's really causing her mommy some discomfort." I sighed. He laid down beside me and rubbed my belly. He grabbed the remote and turned to my favorite TV show at the moment; Hawaii Five-0. I sighed and placed my hand on top of his. He was a great husband, I'm so glad he's mine. As we watched the show in silence, I felt like I just peed on myself.
"Dammit Chris, I just peed in the bed." I told him before I got up. I looked at the spot and seen it was clear.
"Babe that was your water breaking, you're in labor." He told me. My eyes grew wider. I'm in labor. I grabbed my phone and slipped on my slippers.
"Come on baby." He told me as he took my hand. He helped me walk down the stairs and out of the front door.
"I'm going to pull the car up."
I watched him quickly walk over to the Mercedes. I took deep breaths, not trying to panic or anything. He pulled the car up in front of me and I slowly walked over to the passenger side. I got in and laid the seat back. Chris pulled off and I laid back in the seat doing my breathing exercises. I felt a contraction coming and I let out a small scream.
"Umm Chris, can you hurry up?" I inquired.
"Kai you know the hospital is ten minutes away from the house." He reminded.
"I don't give a damn. I'm in pain, I'm about to have our child. If you don't hurry up, I'm having this child in this car." I told him. He pulled up in front of the hospital and quickly dialed something on his phone. Two nurses came rushing over to the car with a wheelchair. I opened the door and the female nurse helped me into the wheelchair. The male nurse pushed me inside.
"You are overdue right?" He inquired.
"Yes," I took a breath before grabbing onto the side of the chair. He wheeled me down a hallway and into a room.
"Sir, could you help her change into this?" The female nurse inquired as she handed Chris the hospital gown. He nodded and the two nurses exited the room. He helped me up onto my feet and help me removed the large t-shirt and sweats. He helped me into the gown and I felt another contraction coming. Doctor Cymone walked into the room with clipboard.
"Hi Kai'lani, I heard you were ready." She spoke. I nodded and walked over to the bed. Chris helped me onto the bed and I laid back. I placed my legs into the prompts. She walked down and looked at my area.
"I can tell you right now my dear, you won't be ready to go for a couple more hours."

eight hours later
I was nine and a half centimeters dilated. Honestly I was at the point where I wanted to pull her out myself. I'm beyond tired and just wanted to deliver her and go to sleep. I chose Chris, Ms. Joyce, my mom, and my sister to be in the room with me while everyone else was in the waiting room.
"You're doing good sweetheart." My mom coached as she placed another cold towel on my head.
"Okay Kai'lani, you are ten centimeters. You're officially ready to give birth." She told me. I sighed in relief and sat up a little bit. Chris and my mom grabbed my hands while my sister recorded and Ms. Joyce was where the doctor was.
"One, two, three, push!" She coached. I leaned up and pushed. I laid back and panted.
"Great job. One, two, three, push!" She coached. I repeated the same action.
"One more push and she'll be here." She told me. I used the rest of my energy to push. A loud cry sounded in the room making me smile.
"Do you want to cut the umbilical cord, dad?" She inquired as she looked up at Chris. He smiled and nodded. He walked down to the doctor and took the scissors from her. He snipped the cord and I could see his eyes watering.
"Would you like to spend time with her now or after testing?"
"After testing."
She nodded, "We need a name for this little lady."
"Leilani Milan Brown." I told her with a smile. She nodded and laid my baby in the mobile crib before wheeling her out of the room. Everyone smiled and gave me a little group hug.
"I know you could do it babe." Chris spoke as he attacked my cheek with kisses. I smiled and gave him a side hug.
"I have you guys to thank. You all really helped out in your own special way." I told them. They all smiled. I laid back and closed my eyes. I should probably get a little nap before Leilani comes back.

forty five minutes later
"Kai." Someone called out as I shook my body lightly. I opened my eyes to see Chris holding Leilani. I tiredly smiled and put my arms out. He gave her to me and I looked down at her. She was beautiful.

"She's ready to be feed." The nurse told me. I nodded and grabbed the bottle of formula from the bedside table. I put the nipple of the bottle into her mouth and she began to drink it. It was the most adorable thing ever.
"Look at my godbaby," August cooed as he walked over to the bed. Leilani has a total of two godmothers; Melissa and Heather and three godfathers; CJ, August, and Ty. He rubbed her head and she looked up at him. She kicked her legs a little and reached up.
"She's finna be spoiled." He spoke as he kissed her forehead. I smiled and rubbed her back.
"We're gonna put a limit on how much y'all can spoil her. When she gets older, she's coming to your house on the weekends and those for her other godparents."
"I don't mind, she can learn how to petty from her god dad." He smirked. I shook my head and looked down her to see her looking up at August and I.
"No she isn't."
"If you say so, she's gonna come home being like me. Watch."
