chapter forty one

Today was my day to be discharge from the hospital. I felt so much better since I've eaten and gotten sleep, two things that I've desperately been needing. Chris hasn't leave my bedside unless he needed to use the restroom or I needed something to eat. Slowly he was starting to get back on my good side.

"Okay babe, we're all set. You can go now." Chris told me as he walked into the room holding a bag of Chick Fil A in his hand. I smiled and got down from the bed. He took my hand into his and lead me out of the hospital room. We walked down the hallway, hand in hand. We exited the building and I took a deep breath. It felt to breathe in outside air. Chris let me to the Maybach. He opened the backdoor and I got inside. I scooted over and Chris sat beside me. I noticed my purse was sitting in the seat across from me.

"Chris what is my purse doing in here?"

"We're going on a little mini vacation, doctor's orders." He told me.

"Where are we going?"

"Santa Cruz, I didn't want to leave the state so I chose somewhere relaxing." He told me. I nodded and laid back. The TV came down and Chris grabbed the remote from the tray.

"What are you in the mood to watch?" He inquired.

"Anything that's not a cartoon." I told him. He nodded and chose Scary Movie. I looked down my nails and sighed. Chris glanced over at me and pulled me into his lap. He wrapped his arms around my waist and looked up at me.

"What's wrong?" He inquired.

"Nothing I just thinking. I love you Chris, I really do. I want us to work this out." I told him as I laid my head on his chest.

"I do too, I'm going to step up because you deserve the best baby." He spoke. He kissed my cheek and I smiled. His phone rang and he looked at it.

"It's Karrueche." He told me.

"Answer it and put it on speaker." I told him. He nodded and did what I said.

"Hello?" He answered.

"Where's Brielle? I went by your house and nobody wasn't there."

"You have some damn nerve Karrueche, you left her on my doorstep like a dog but then want to come back for her."

"Look I was going through some things at the time but now everything is straighten out. Where is she Chris?"

"With my mother and don't think you're going to have her without a fight." He told her.

"Whatever Chris, I always get what I want." She told him before hanging up, He threw down his phone and sighed. I intertwined our fingers and pecked his lips.

"Baby don't stress, you know that she won't get custody." I assured.

"You're right but she's sneaky Kai and that's something I really don't like but it's cool. I have one of the best lawyers in California and he can help me with anything."

"See you have it under control. During this trip, we're not stressing over anything. If anything we're going to relax and enjoy this."

five hours later

"Baby." I heard someone call out. I opened my eyes to see I was still laying on Chris's chest. I sat up and stretched.

"Where are we?" I inquired.

"We're here in Santa Cruz baby. Come on, our beach house is ready." He told me. I tiredly got off of his lap and got out of the car. I felt Chris's arms go around my waist and I groaned.

"Can I lay down?" I inquired. He picked me up from the ground and I laid my head on his chest. I felt him moving and sighed. All I felt like doing at the moment was sleep, god knows I need some sleep.
