Heather and I sat in the back of Heather's Cadillac Escalade as her driver drove us to the airport. What Chris and I discussed really stuck to my mind. He was miserable and I was the one for him. August has moved on to a woman named Miracle, I met her a couple of times. She's a really sweet girl. I'm glad he gave me the rundown because if I would have found out in a magazine, I would have been mad.

The driver pulled into the private parking lot for private jets. Heather and I had both gotten out of the Escalade and walked to the back. The driver had grabbed our bags and handed them to us. I looked up and seen it was Chris. I smiled and gave him a side hug.

"What in the world are you doing here?" I inquired.

"I wanted to send you and Heather off. Also remember what we talked about. It should be done whenever you come. I want us to start fresh." He spoke. I nodded. He kissed my forehead and I stepped back. I grabbed my bags and walked to the jet. I looked back to see Chris watching me. I smiled before boarding the jet. I handed my bags to the flight attendants before taking a seat. I looked out of the window and frowned when I seen the Escalade. Will things work between us?

I walked into my house to be greeted with the smell of homemade chile. I walked into the kitchen to see my mom cooking and Aliana playing with Royalty. I walked over to Aliana and gently took Royalty from her.

"I knew I smelled your homemade chile." I told my mom. I kissed her cheek and took a seat on a stool. I sat Royalty on the counter in front of me. She babbled and wrapped her small hands around my index fingers. Nia had a emergency meeting that required her to go to Tuscan for a couple of days so she dropped Royalty off here.

"Did Kai see you?" Aliana inquired.

"Yes. We hugged and I watched her board her flight. I was stupid for not making time for her." I admitted with a sigh.

"I told you that she was the one. She's the only down to earth girl you bought home except for Kae but then she turned after a couple of months. I honestly love Kai, she's the sweetest thing and she's independent. You're not going to find many women like her." My mom spoke. I nodded and bounced Royalty up and down. The door opened and Karrueche came walking through the kitchen seconds later with shopping bags in her hand.

"I got so much stuff for the baby. Hey Royalty." Karrueche said as she kissed Royalty's cheek. She sat the bags down on the floor and pecked my lips.

"Hey Mama Joyce, Aliana." She greeted as she took a seat beside me. Aliana looked up at me before grabbing the newspaper and walking out of the kitchen. My mom gave Karrueche a smile before turning off the stove.

"Chris, you want me to make you a bowl?" My mom inquired. I nodded and got up from the stool. I gently picked up a sleeping Royalty.

"I'm going to lay her down, I'll be right back." I told them before I walked out of the kitchen. I walked upstairs and to Royalty's nursery. I walked over to her crib and gently laid her down. Her arms wrapped around my right arm and she cuddled against it. I smiled and wiggled my arm out of her embrace. I turned on the baby monitor and walked out of the room, closing the door behind me. Aliana motioned for me to come into the empty room beside Royalty's room. I nodded and walked in. She closed the door and looked at me.

"Chris, didn't you tell me you were breaking it off with her last night? What the hell happened?" Aliana inquired. Her, Kai, and my mom are the only ones that know how miserable I am in this relationship. I told her that I was breaking it off with her last night but I fell asleep before I could do it.

"I fell asleep and I don't want to hear her whine and try to convince us to work it out." I told her.

"Hell I'll do it. You want Kai back but you're not putting in effort. She's already slipped away once. Do you want that to happen again?" She inquired.

"No but I also don't want to hurt Kae's feelings. She's a nice girl and she has her days when she's not."

"Okay Chris, just sit her down and gently break it to her." Aliana advised. I nodded. The door opened and Karrueche walked in. Did she hear us?

"There y'all are. Mama Joyce wanted to me find you guys and tell you to come and eat." She told us. I was relieved that she didn't hear what Aliana and I were discussing.

"Okay, tell her we'll be down there in a second." I told Karrueche. She nodded and walked out of the room.

"All I'm saying is that you need to close one door before you open another one." Aliana spoke before walking out of the room.
