Honkers

I finally remembered to do a diary entry for Hong Kong!

· Monday 8th June Hong Kong- landed Kai Tak airport thankfully bypassed customs and immigration so much quicker!

Arrived President Hotel, Kowloon, booked 15th floor rooms very nice, clean and modern. Lovely gardens in centre of hotel filled with orchids ~ beautiful.

· 1pm: press conference at the President Hotel ballroom ground floor- quite mundane questions I think the lads were bored with it all. They did ask John 'bout his new book so he was chuffed with that anyway.

· Neil ordered a couple of the famous' Hong Kong's 24-hour bespoke suits very nice not sure why George and John didn't get them. Neil also organised matching capes for the lads.

· 6pm: Miss Hong Kong pageant- the boys were buggered from the flight and didn't want to bother I coerced John and Neil to finally go down the hall and do a quick meet and greet.

· 10th June: Concert day/night!

· I purchased a brand new, with all the bells and whistles, camera for Richard and a watch for Paul's birthday. I hope they like their gifts..

· 2 Appearance-Princess Theatre in Kowlan Kowloon.. auditorium was manly (oops) mainly filled with soldiers in uniforms apparently teenagers couldn't afford to buy the tickets HK $75 - the equivalent to a week's wage!! ... and :/ the parents didn't know who The Beatles were!!! So, the theatre would have been empty... the promoter ended up giving the army tics free of charge. So, a good thing for the troops and maybe a couple of decibels quieter!

· Called Brian re Richard he is better yay! Still on schedule for meet in Melbourne, Victoria- great news- boys whooped when I told them.

· Next stop Australia!
