RECAP

-Adeline has been in cottage for 18 years under her caretaker, mary's care
-on her 18th bday her father let her out into the world for the first time
-they stopped at the castle because her father was a council member and he had some quick work to take care of
-while following a bunny she stumbled across a sexy ass mofo known as Gabriel, her mate
-they both feel a connection and then her dad ends up interrupting because they have to leave
-addie leaves to her estate with her father and sees William/Willie herr brother (who seems pretty uninterested in seeing her)
-birthday ball occurs but is attacked by damien
-damien's men kill her father and damien drinks her blood
-damien felt no effect of her blood, so he got mad because hes been after her since she was born but she isnt even the one who he is looking for.
-he left her and gabriel, her mate found her
-gabriel took her to his castle
-they meet the rude queen
-addie tries to run away
-addie provokes gabriel and he throws her into a cell for a week
-addie got sick in the dirty cells and passed out
-when she woke up there was a doctor who prescribed her this medicine.
-turns out doctor was a fraud and hes been slowly injecting her with poison
-addie meets ray, damiens accomplice. Hes in the castle, but no one knows hes with damien
-addie keeps hearing voices to visit the oracle...she asks eli her bff in the castle about it...eli and her are partners in crime
-there is supposed to be a ball in the castle
-addie goes to see if Gabriel is ready but she sees him kissing vern
-she runs out of the castle. She hears the voice go to the oracle again. Eli had told her where the oracle was beforehand so she decided to go
-oracle told her a prophecy (ch 15 or 14 i think?)
-on the way back she gets attacked
-Gabriel hears her whimper and leaves the ball, finding her
-Adeline passes out
-guard suggests addie keeps getting attacked because she might be an angel.
-gabriel tests this out by using celestial silver, a metal harmful to all beings but angels because they created celestial silver
- gabriel shows addie serafina, a former queen who was also an angel and went through similar troubles
-addie tries to run away from disbelief
-her and gabriel get into a fight
-gabriel begins to purposefully cheat with vern because they both are mad at each other
-addie finds a secret necklace hidden in her teddy bear
-coronation occurs
-addie sees glimpse of serafinas life while crown was being put on her head
-addie feels the pain gabriel causes by cheating
-gabriel realizes his mistake, stops and apologizes
-addie is hesitant to forgive him
-addie talks with council bc they found out she was an angel
-council suggests that since she isnt a vampire she should be his mistress and allow gabriel to find someone else to be his queen
-they both leave angrily
-they have sorta reconcile on the way back and things have gotten better between them
-they do the dirty
-they go to a festival and addie is kidnapped by damien
-after torturing and draining her blood (her blood has extremely powerful and positive effects for vampires) damien figures out that Addie is pregnant
-willie, her brother, is working with damien
-gabriel saves her
-addie doesnt tell gabriel she's pregnant
-gabriel vern and addie figure out that the necklace that she found was actually a key to a secret room in the wing where serafina used to live
-a while later addie eats lunch with queen
-guns fire because they are attacked
-doctors check addie to see if her and the baby is okay
-they figure out bad news: addie is pregnant with twins
-this is bad news because since in a royal family, their can only be one heir to the throne. This means one of the twins will die in the womb
-gabriel and vern find the fifth book of spells while looking for a way to save the twins. the book has been hidden my a witch named medea
-while gabriel is on balcony with addie, castle is surrounded by civilians enraged that their queen is an angel and not vampire
-they ask her to cut off her wings to prove herself
-she obliges although gabriel says no
-the guy cutting her wings actually tried to kill her and gabriel jumped in front to try to save her
-gabriel is slain. Dead.
-everyone leaves after she gets mad and yells at them to leave
-Eli tells her to get up while pointing a gun at her. he takes her to damien. damien tries to get the blood/power out of her again...he beats her
-Blood starts coming from her pelvis area and drenching the ground
-realizes she is losing a twin
-vern shows up in the cell through magic and hands her a vial of what looks like blood
-she tells addie to drink it
-shes out of time and her magic can't keep her there any longer, so she disappears after handing her the  vial
