I have a question
Would you guys like a...
Picture perfect happy ending?
Or
A bittersweet sad-ish ending?
I might be using your opinion on this, but I already have an idea in mind.

Adeline's POVMy hands shot up to Gabriel's face.
"Gabriel." I said in shock, with tears streaming down my face.
"Oh, Gabriel." I choked out, crying. I moved my hands to observe his chest and the giant wound caused by the blade.
Gabriel slumped into me, burying his face into my neck.
"Why would you do that?" I cried, wrapping my arms around him in a warm embrace. My hands ran through his soft hair.
He released a deep chuckle, his warm breath fanning into my neck, "There was no way I was going to let them lay even a finger on you."
Seeing their king wounded, all the people kneeled, in respect.
I held onto Gabriel tighter, as if, if I let go, the darkness would consume him and he would disappear forever.
"Gabriel, please tell me that its not going through your heart." I choked out a sob.
"Please tell me that you'll be okay." I cried into his shoulder.
He didn't respond, proving that the sword was indeed going through his heart.
"I wish I could." He said.
"No, no. You're not going to die, Gabriel." I shook my head in denial.
Silent tears fell down my cheek.
Everyone watched silently, they knew there was nothing left to do anymore.
"Gabriel, you are not dying." I said sternly. "I'm going to take the blade out of you, and you are going to heal."
"You're not dying on me! You can't do this to me! I can't do this without you." My voice broke at the end.
I slowly moved my hands to the handle of the blade piercing through Gabriel's chest.
"I'm gonna remove the blade okay? You're going to heal."
Wrapping my fingers tightly around the handle, I realized something I hadn't realized before.
The way the blade was angled.
Gabriel ran in, to take the blade that was headed towards me. The blade wasn't angled to cut off my wings, it was angled to go through my chest. It was a trap. The guy holding the blade never meant to cut of my wings in the first place; he meant to kill me with it. That was supposed to be me with the sword going through my chest, not Gabriel.
Gripping the blade tighter, I pulled it out.
Gabriel, who was still kneeling against me with his arms wrapped around me, hissed in pain, gripping onto my back.
I glanced at some of the castle guards who were at the scene because they were trying to hold off the mob earlier.
I turned my attention towards the guy, who plunged the blade into Gabriel's chest.
"You." I said, narrowing my eyes at him. Something about this man looked familiar.
"You were never going to cut off my wings, were you?" I asked, as angry tears came out of my eyes.
The man tried to run away, but, the guards surrounded him, giving him nowhere to go. The guards caught onto him.
"Put him in the cells." I ordered before turning back to Gabriel.
Gabriel was still holding on tightly to my body.
I could feel it, his power weakening and his life force diminishing.
No, he had to hold on.
The wound was slowly closing up, but the blade had nicked his heart. He wasn't going to make it.
I cried, holding onto Gabriel tighter.
"Gabriel, you can't leave me here without you. I can't do this all by myself. I need you; I love you. Please live."
A thought sparked inside me head.
Pulling Gabriel towards my neck, I said, "Drink my blood."
"No, I'll end up hurting you."
"Gabriel, drink my fucking blood!" I yelled.
I could tell he obeyed me because a second later, I felt a sharp pain in my neck as his fangs pierced through the delicate layer of skin on my neck.
My blood, it has healing properties. That's one of the reasons why Damien was so hell bent on taking bags of blood out of my system.
It's got to help Gabriel.
Gabriel gripped onto the side of my arms as he continued to suck blood out of me.
Slowly, I grew dizzy. Right before I started tipping over, Gabriel pulled his fangs out of my neck.
I looked towards his chest, nothing was happening.
It wasn't working.
No.
Gabriel chuckled to himself, his breathing growing shallow.
"Drink more!" I said. It had to work.
"I-It's n-not going to work, Adeline." He struggled to say with his raspy voice. His breaths were coming out uneven and the distance between each intake of oxygen was increasing as his breathing slowed.
His eyes began to flutter close. The tears streaming from my eyes increased as I began sobbing.
"Gabriel, I love you. Please don't leave me."
"I love you too, Adeline."
He stopped breathing. I cried as a vicious sob racked my body. I hugged his limp body close to me.
"Gabriel." I cried.
