•Guys, if you see Gabriel's name as anything, but Gabriel, let me know because a long time ago, I changed Gabriel's name from Pierce. I blame me being sleepy all the time. Thanks!•
Gabriel's POV
I stood impatiently, waiting for Addie to return. A deep sense of worry settled in the pit of my stomach after Addie's sudden dizziness.
I gave up on waiting and stormed towards the girls bathroom.
I took a sniff of the air around me, and my body tensed when I couldn't find her scent.
I stormed into the girls bathroom, blinded by worry and rage, but she was gone.
Adeline's POV
My entire body ached in pain, I couldn't tell where I was, but it certainly wasn't the castle.
I gently peeled my eyes open to take a glance around the room, I was being held captive in.
It was dark with hardly any lighting except for the small streams of moonlight streaming in from a tiny set of bars at the top corner of the cell. I could hear the faint drips of water echoing through the dank, musty cell.
My wrists were tied with two large ropes, that burned, to the ceiling, leaving me dangling onto the ground. Any small movement made me hiss in pain from the burning sensation in the ropes. My eyes fixed on the drop of water dripping from the ceiling.
I need to get out of here.
Not wanting to alert anyone of my presence, I violently tried to escape the rope by shaking my hands and tugging on it. It burned my flesh, cutting deep into it, causing me to hiss in pain.
"You're awake, you filthy being."
I was face to face with someone who appeared to be guarding the cell. He was tall, lean, and he seemed to have sandy blond hair. I couldn't really tell due to the dim lighting.
He was holding something in his hands, it was a giant, blue box, and he set it down on a table next to me.
I moved my hands against the ropes, again becoming more frightened than I already was. I hissed in pain.
"What are these?"
The guard stared at me, debating whether or not to answer my question.
"They are spelled with magic and soaked in a herb harmful to you, Solanaceae, or Nightshade."
I groaned against the painful sting of the ropes.
The man ignored me and opened the blue box, pulling out a needle like device.
My eyes widened, and my whole body froze.
"W-What are you doing?"
The man looked at me with the same look again.
Choosing to tell me, again, he said, "It's a needle for extracting your blood."
My eyes widened in realization. Gabriel mentioned an Angel's blood having many benefits and powers. I definitely didn't want anyone using my blood for anything but good, and this clearly isn't good. Its the acts of pure selfishness driven by a greed for power.
"I won't let you have my blood!" I yelled.
The guard just stared at me blankly, ignoring what I said. He looked at me as if I was stupid.
"You can't do anything." He said again in his calm, collected tone.
He connected tubing to a needle, and a translucent blood bag.
He then turned his frame to me.
"No! Stop! Don't come any closer!" I struggled against the burn of the rope trying to get away from the man.
The man clamped his hand around my chin and tilted my head up to face him.
"Shh. This won't hurt a bit. Just, relax." He whispered with a glimmer of a smirk plastered across his face.
"Stop!"
He latched his hand around my arm, holding it in place. The sharp tip of the cool, metal needle came in contact with my skin, puncturing it. It slowly sunk in deep into my skin, and blood started flowing into the clear bag.
I watched the bright red blood drip into my bag, and I turned my gaze back to the guard, looking at him pleadingly. His eyes softened for a moment, but his hard emotionless mask slid back into place.
He stopped the blood flow, unscrewed the blood bag, and screwed another bag into place, slowly draining the fluid from my body.
After the third blood bag was extracted from my body, a violent cough wracked my body. I heaved heavily, and emptied my contents into a bucket, which the guard pushed in front of me.
"Please stop." I whispered weakly. My voice sounded broken and fragile.
He ignored me and took two more bags before standing up, turning his back on me, and leaving. I was grateful he was going to leave me alone, and stop draining me of blood, but I most certainly did not want to be left in this cold, wet cell.
"Please. You can't just leave me here!" I groaned against the ropes. The guy ignored me, slamming the heavy, steel door behind him.
I was left there for hours, with no food or drink.
Other than the occasional, wet drops from the ceiling, I heard the "pit-pat" of shoes clacking down the hallway.
The feet stopped at my door, slowly swinging my door open.
My eyes widened in familiarity.
