"Her heart-rate's dropping!"
"Get her on life support!"
"Quick lets move it people!"
"I want her to be given painkillers NOW! Get the anesthetic ready!" The doctor yelled above the noise of the other doctors and nurses that had now entered the room.
"But she only just woke up," yelled Blaze angrily.
"She'll die," the doctor snapped. "Get everyone out of here until she's stabilized!"
"Katy," Destiny called out weakly. "Katy where are you?" Katy was actually being forced out of the room by some very strong doctors.
"Let go! I have to get to her! She's my daughter," Katy screamed angrily. "LET GO!" Candy scrambled quickly onto Destiny's bed, unseen by the doctors.
"Katy's over there," she wrote. Destiny nodded and weakly hugged her younger sister.
"I thought you were talking again," she whispered weakly. Candy shook her head. "Please? For me?"
"For you," Candy replied. "Pinkie-" That was when Candy was grabbed by a nurse and carried away.
"No! Wait! No!" Destiny tried to scream. She felt a needle be pushed into her skin and her eyes began to feel like they weighed a thousand tons. "Pinkie promise, Candy..." She whispered as she slipped away.
"Pinkie promise," Candy called out to her. "But you have to wake up! Okay? Destiny, pinkie promise? PLEASE?" Candy began to sob as she was shoved into Shannon's arms. "She won't wake up. She didn't pinkie promise. She won't wake up!" Candy said over and over.
"Shhh, yes she will. Shhh. She's just asleep, that's all..." Shannon soothed gently. They all made their way to the waiting room, like they had been told.
"Blaze," London said miserably. "I need Dessy. I have an owey," she sobbed.
"Destiny's sleeping," Blaze said.
"You help me?" London asked. Blaze scowled at her.
"No! I don't know how, do I? Destiny's the one who always looks after us, not me!" Blaze turned away from his sister, making her cry more. Angela scooped up London and sat her on her knee.
"Let me see that owey then," she said. "Now what does Destiny do when you have an owey?"
"Kiss it better and sing to me," London said. Angela lifted London's finger to her lips and kissed it gently. It was only a paper cut anyway.
"What would you like me to sing?" Angela asked her.
"Pony song," London said. Ocean toddled over then and clutched Angela's leg.
"Please," she begged quietly. "It's our favourite lullaby." Angela sighed and told them she didn't know the pony song. The twins began to sobbed all over again. Suddenly a soft voice filled the room.
"Hush a bye,
Don't you cry,
Go to sleep my little babies,
When you wake,
You shall have,
All the pretty little ponies.
In your bed,
Mummy said,
Babies are riding of to dreamland,
One by one,
They've begun,
Dance and prance,
For little babies.
Blacks and bays,
Dapples and greys,
Running in the night,
When you wake,
You shall have,
All the pretty little ponies.
Can you see the little ponies,
Dance before your eyes,
All the pretty little ponies,
Will be there when you arise.
Hush a bye,
Don't you cry,
Go to sleep my little babies,
When you wake,
You shall have,
All the pretty little ponies..." The voice stopped and so did the crying.
"Wow, Candy was that you?" Shannon asked in surprise. Candy nodded.
"Destiny taught me," she whispered. "Destiny's my favourite singer. I think she's even better than Demi Lovato."
"Hey, isn't-isn't Demi Lovato your favourite s-singer?" Katy stammered, trying to stop her tears. Candy nodded slowly.
"I think Destiny's better though," she whispered as tears began to spill out of her eyes. Katy nodded and opened her arms out to Candy.
"Me too," she choaked out. "Come here..." Candy crawled onto Katy's lap and they cried quietly together. "If only Destiny could see how loved she truly is," thought Katy as she looked round at all the depressed faces. "If only she could just open her eye's and really see, just for one moment..."
