"What did I say?" Shannon asked. Angela pulled Shannon closer to her and quickly whispered in her ear. Shannon gasped and turned back to Destiny, but Destiny had gone. The sound of the lock of the bathroom door clicking told them where she was. Katy began knocking on the door, desperate to know she was alright.

"Destiny? Are you okay?" She asked worriedly. Destiny didn't answer.

"I'm really sorry Destiny," Shannon called. "I didn't mean to upset you!" Destiny still didn't answer. Katy spun round and glared at Demi.

"You're her councillor! Do something!" She yelled. Demi was taken aback, but quickly composed herself.

"Sweetheart? Come out. Please? You're scaring us," Demi called. "It hurts us when we don't know if you're okay. Please come out!"

"I'm getting my pyjamas on," a muffled voice called. "Go away. I'll-I'll be out soon..." Katy nodded and began ushering everyone out.

"Will you come back tomorrow?" Katy asked Demi, who nodded.

"Yeah, of course. I will try and help her Katy, I promise I'll try..." Demi replied quietly. Katy nodded and watched everyone leave.

"They're gone," she told Destiny. "It's just me." Destiny said she was nearly done and told Katy just to go to bed, promising to be out soon. Katy did go to bed, but couldn't bring herself to even try to sleep. Not until Destiny was out...

By the time Destiny did decide to venture out of the bathroom Katy was practically asleep. But not quite. She moaned softly when she heard Destiny come out, and tried to force herself to wake up properly.

"Sorry," Destiny whispered apologetically. "I didn't mean to wake you..."

"Its okay, you didn't." Katy said gently. Then she patted the space on the bed next to her. "Come sit," she instructed. Destiny shook her head and began edging towards her own bed. Katy sighed and let a tear escape down her cheek. "You gotta let me in sometimes Destiny..." She whispered to herself, unaware that Destiny was listening.

"No I don't," she thought stubbornly. "Nobody's getting close to me. Not ever..."

Katy fell asleep fairly quickly, convinced that Destiny was safe now. But Destiny did not sleep. In fact she was waiting for Katy to fall asleep so she could obey the voices that were screaming in her mind.

"Just wait! Wait until she's asleep. Then I will, I promise!" Destiny begged.

"You better," the voices snarled. "You deserve it after all!" Destiny sobbed and began stumbling into the bathroom. She was too mentally drained to shut the door, let alone lock it. She simply began to slice her arms with the blade she kept hidden in her left sock. She cried out at the eminence pain she was inflicting on herself.

"Let me stop now," she begged and gasped for air. "Please let me stop. I've had enough. What if Katy hears?"

"Then she'll join right in," cackled the voices. "She doesn't really love you. Nobody does. You know that, don't you?"

"Yes, yes I know. I know. Please... Go away..." Destiny was soon to crazed by the voices to speak, to fight back. She let them drag her down into a deeper depression. She was now in a scary place, far away from reality. But that also made her unaware of how loud she was becoming. Her screams ripped through the air and pierced Katy's ears, causing her to wake up. It took her a moment to realize what had disturbed her. Destiny screamed again and Katy squinted in the darkness, trying to see her daughter. She saw the blood first. Katy cried out in horror.

"Destiny!" She yelled and rushed to her side. "Shhh Baby, its okay. Tell me what's wrong!"

"It h-hurts Katy! It hurts so much! Make it stop! Please, make it stop!" Destiny sobbed, trying to grasp onto what little sense of reality she had left.
