Beep beep, beep beep, beep beep...
Destiny groaned and wriggled around in the bed as a beeping sound occupied the air. She grasped at the nearest pillow and tossed it swiftly towards the source of the noise, which unfortunately happened to be Katy's phone. Destiny heard a loud thump as she lifted the pillow, followed by a loud 'ouch'.
"Destiny!" Katy exclaimed, clearly not impressed. "I way laying on that!" Destiny sniggered and rolled over to go back to sleep.
"You should keep holding me captive in your bed the second I close my eyes then, should you? These are the first signs of insanity Katy, good luck!" Destiny chuckled sleepily. "Oh and go and turn the alarm off, the pillow throwing didn't work!" Katy rolled her eyes at her sleepy daughter and tickled her side playfully before stumbling towards the alarm.
"WOAH!" She cried loudly, before landing on the floor with a thump. Destiny sat up and scanned the floor for Katy.
"Seriously Woman!" She said. "Die quietly! I'm tired." Katy got up and threw the pillow at Destiny.
"Wow you're so sensitive Des! You threw it and now I've tripped over it, so thanks for that!" Katy retaliated. "Now get up, here are you clothes. Katy held out Destiny's tracksuit to her. Destiny groaned loudly and mumbled something, face down in the pillow still. "Huh? Des I can't understand pillow talk!" Katy pointed out, rolling her eyes. "Now get up! School today!"
"No," Destiny replied bluntly. "I'm not going. Home school me instead, if you must..." Katy scrambled across the bed and straddled Destiny, looking at her with raised eyebrows.
"Not gonna happen Destiny," she said.
"Why not?" Destiny complained. "Demi was and she turned out okay." Katy chuckled.
"Yeah Destiny, she totally turned out okay. I'm mean don't get me wrong, I love Demi, but she didn't exactly 'turn out okay'..." Katy pointed out. Then she forced Destiny to sit up and pushed the clothes into her arms. "Go on, get dressed. You'll be fine, I promise. Just text me if you need me, okay?" Destiny nodded, but clung to Katy's hand, as she passed over the clothes, when their hands brushed against each others. Katy smiled sympatheticly down at her before gently pushing her towards the bathroom. She had no idea how she was going to get Destiny actually into school...
Katy pulled up outside Destiny's school half an hour later. Destiny was currently sitting squashed up against the back of the car-seat refusing to get out. She was clutching her school bag miserably and staring blankly out of the window.
"Sweetie, come on. Please just go in," Katy begged. "I'm only a text away if you need me! Don't you want to see all you friends again, its been a while." Destiny shook her head and wouldn't move. "I promise I'll be here to pick you up when you're done."
"You promise?" Destiny asked fearfully. Katy nodded and pulled Destiny into her arms.
"Of course Little Kitten," Katy said. "Why wouldn't I?" Destiny shrugged and nuzzled into Katy's short raven black hair. "I pinkie promise," Katy whispered. Then Destiny let go of her and shuffled out the car. "See you soon," Katy called after her.
"Yeah, whatever..." Destiny muttered and slipped into the big school building. She could see people everywhere, and they were all staring at her. "It's because Katy made me come in a tracksuit," she thought miserably. "Somebody please just kill me now!" Destiny felt people shove her about and it seemed like an eternity before she reached her From Room. Most people were hanging about it the corridors, waiting to be let it. Destiny stood in her usual spot, close to the door, so she could be aware from other people. Suddenly a football flew cleanly through the air and hit Destiny right in the stomach, causing her to double over. Laugh filled the corridor and Destiny fought back tears.
