Most of the girls went back to Demi's house, Will.I.Am went home, and and One Direction went back to their hotel rooms. Shannon and Angela also went home, after dropping off Katy and Destiny.

"So, what would you like to do now?" Katy asked Destiny once they were home. Destiny looked around Katy's huge house for a moment before speaking.

"Your house is big," she stated. Katy nodded at her.

"I have a pool," she told Destiny. "Do you want to go swimming?" For a second Destiny froze, when she answered she seemed a little sad.

"Do I like swimming," she asked. That was when Katy realized that she didn't know! She didn't know whether her own daughter liked swimming!

"I-I don't know, Destiny..." She signed quietly. "Yes?"

"Yes," Destiny said subconsciously. "Destiny likes swimming." Katy didn't know how to respond. It was clear that Destiny had no clue that she had spoken.

"Well, I have all your things here... Marcus found them. There's probably a swimming costume," Katy said and began looking for it. "Here!" She cried as her fingers snaked around it. "Put this on, I'll meet you back her. The bathroom's just around that corner." Destiny nodded and went to changed, Katy did the same.

Once they were both done, Katy led Destiny to her outdoor pool. The weather was warm, but there was a slight relaxing breeze in the air. It made the atmosphere peaceful, which was a godsend in the currently stressful time. For a while, neither of them spoke. Katy had slipped smoothly into the cool water, however Destiny hovered by the side.

"You coming in, Little Kitten?" Katy asked brightly, almost forgetting Destiny's amnesia for one blissful moment. That moment was quickly ripped away from her once Destiny didn't answer. Katy gave her a nudge. "Destiny?"

"Oh, me?" Destiny asked. "I thought you said my name was Destiny?"

"It is," Katy said. "Little Kitten is just what I call you. It's a nickname."

"A pet-name," Destiny corrected subconsciously again. Katy gave her a small, forced, smile and then held her arms out to Destiny.

"Come on, I'll help you in." She offered. Destiny shook her head violently. "You can trust me, I promise."

"I don't even know you," Destiny pointed out.

"Yes you do," Katy insisted.

"So how do I know you? Or are you just 'the-lady-that-hugged-me'?" Destiny shot back, a little bit of her old sass shining through. Katy grinned at her.

"No, I'm Katy." She told her, not taking the grin off her face. "You know me because I'm your biological Mother."

"Oh," Destiny answered bluntly.

"Will you let me help you in now?" Katy asked, knowing that she had one. Destiny didn't answer and took hold of Katy's wrists, Katy was careful not to hold hers too tightly. "See, that wasn't so bad." Katy pointed out. Destiny didn't answer and carried on clinging to Katy's wrists, while she tried to tread water.

"So I call you....Mum?" She finally asked, water splashing into her mouth as she spoke.

"No, you call me Ka-" Suddenly Katy stopped short. Now was her chance to finally hear her daughter call her Mum! But, wasn't that talking advantage of Destiny? Was it really fair? "Katy," she finished. "That's what you have always called me."

"Okay...Katy," Destiny said and tried out saying it. "So, was one of those boys back there my Dad?" Katy froze for a second, taken aback by the question.

"They're all too young," she replied stiffly.

"Then who is my Dad?" Destiny persisted.

"Nobody," Katy answered and pulled herself out of the water. "You don't have a Father." This time Destiny didn't have time to correct Katy. Her mouth slipped under the water, only leaving her enough time to let out a gargled scream before the rest of her followed. Katy spun around and quickly dived back into the pool. She swan down, forcing her eyes open as she searched for Destiny.

"You idiot," she thought to herself. "You're killing your own daughter! She doesn't remember how to swim!" Katy shook her head, trying to force the thoughts away. She remembered that voice, it had haunted her for months after Russel had left her. Angela had helped, but it was really finding Destiny again that had sent them away. Now all she could picture when those voices resurfaced was Destiny being driven mad by them. That thought often tortured her when she could see Destiny. "Find Destiny. Fine Destiny. Find Destiny," she chanted in her head instead. The further down she swam, the more she cursed herself for taking Destiny into the deep end of the pool. "Stupid, stupid, STUPID!" She cried inwardly. Her lungs began to scream for air, and Katy found herself praying for a miracle....
