After Destiny's Schizophrenic episode, Destiny seemed to begin improving. Her illness was almost gone and she seemed a lot more concious. But with the conciousness, came something else. Katy wasn't 'Mum' anymore... It broke her heart everytime the word 'Katy' left Destiny's mouth, instead of 'Mum'. It hurt her so, so much.
Katy walked around like a zombie, numb. It was like being called 'Mum' had given her a natural high and now it was suddenly ripped away from her. She needed a fix. She craved a fix. Not drugs, not alcohol, not a cigarette. Just one simple word. 'Mum'.
"Shannon, where's Destiny?" Katy asked softly. She needed to be called 'Mum' so badly that she was almost delusional. Delusional to think that Destiny would call her 'Mum' for no good reason.
"Katy, she's out with Cher. You know that," Shannon sighed. Her worry for Katy was increasingly rapidly. "You saw her before they went out!" Katy shrugged and began to walk mindlessly away again. "Katy, wait!" She called out. Katy turned slowly to face her. "Are you okay?"
"Sure," Katy replied dryly. "Why wouldn't I be?"
"Because you're waking around here like a zombie!" Shannon cried. "I'm worried about you."
"Don't be," Katy sighed. "It's nothing anyway..." She turned away from Shannon again, showing her that the conversation was finished. Shannon wanted to call her back. She wanted Katy to talk to her, to tell her what was wrong. But this time, Shannon simply watched her leave.
Meanwhile, Destiny was sitting excitedly in Cher's. She looked up at Cher expectantly, silently begging her with her eyes.
"No!" Cher cried, although she knew that she was fighting a loosing battle. "No, no, no, no, no!"
"Please, Cher!" Destiny cried. "I'm begging you!"
"When I said I would take you out for a while, I thought we would go shopping! Not go stalking your teacher!" Cher protested.
"But, Cher!" Destiny moaned. "I nearly need to see Miss Chelsea, and Katy's so busy with the tour..." Cher sighed in defeat and started up the engine.
"Fine! What's the address?" She grumbled. Destiny squealed before hugging Cher tightly and thanking her over and over again.
Destiny was too afraid to see her siblings, knowing that her parents would be there, but was praying that they were okay. Seeing Miss Chelsea would definitely be the next best thing. She had always been the only thing worth going to school for. She also brought a sense of normality to Destiny's life, which was something that she was craving for. Miss Chelsea was the only mother-figure Destiny had known before Katy, and she was dying to see her again.
Destiny rushed up to her teachers front door and began knocking excitedly.
"Don't break the damn door down!" Cher teased, standing a little behind Destiny. Destiny just rolled her eyes and continued knocking. Suddenly the door opened, revealing Miss Chelsea.
"Hi, Miss!" Destiny said joyfully. "It's good to see you!"
"Hello, Destiny. What a pleasant surprise!" Miss Chelsea chuckled. "What are you doing here?"
"Katy's on tour, I just wanted to stop by and say thank you. For everything... Oh, and your check for the plane ride should be in the post." Destiny informed her. Miss Chelsea quickly thanked her and invited Destiny and Cher both inside. "So how is everyone? How's Asha? Oh and Natalie, Tyson and Tilly?" Miss Chelsea laughed at Destiny's stream of questions.
"Well I know that Asha and Natalie are fine, because I teach them. Tyson and Tilly seem okay too," she said. Destiny breathed a sigh of relief. Then, as she looked around Miss Chelsea's living room, she noticed something. There were boxes and suitcases everywhere.
"Are you going on holiday?" She asked nervously.
"Not exactly..." Miss Chelsea replied softly. "I'm leaving, I'm moving back up North..."
"Your what?" Destiny cried, panic filling her voice. "You can't! Who will teach me? How will I pass my exams without you? You got me and A!"
"Calm down," Miss Chelsea begged. "You don't even go to that school anymore! You went to America, to be with Katy!"
"Not permanently... I haven't told anyone yet, because I didn't want to hurt Katy, but I'm not going back with her. My life's here, and there's nothing she can do about it..." Destiny said, a harshness suddenly taking over her voice.
