Destiny ended up crying herself to sleep on Demi's little sofa. Demi had been curled up with her, cuddling her from behind, for a while but only until Destiny had stopped crying. It broke Demi's heart to see the poor girl like that, looking so alone and lost. It seemed like Destiny needed Katy more than she was letting on.
Katy's conference call lasted longer than it had been originally planned to last because of the unexpected trip to school, so Katy was due to get Destiny late that evening. However Katy was doubting wether she should get her at all... In the end she decided to text Demi and say she wouldn't be finnish until it was really late so could Destiny just stay with her. The response she got was not at all what she had hoped it would be.
Demi - Katy Perry get your ass over here as soon as that calls finished, got it? I need to talk to you about your daughter.
Katy was taken aback at the text and started at it in shock. She stared at it for so long that Angela and to shake her to get her to look away. Katy quickly replied to Demi, beginning to get worried.
Katy - What's the matter? Is Destiny okay? Has she eaten anything yet? Didn't she eat her lunch?
Katy clung to her phone, anxiously waiting a reply. She was now extremely worried about Destiny. What on earth had happened. When the next text came through Katy could almost see Demi rolling her eyes.
Demi - So now you care!?! Just get over here as soon as you're done, or I'll drag you here myself! You see if I won't!
Katy stared at the text, rereading it over and over again. What had she done? She honestly had no idea! All she knew was that she had to find out, now.
"I gotta go," she said hurriedly and began to get up.
"Katy! Don't you dare disappear again!" A voice yelled from the laptop. It was Katy's manager, and she was not impressed. "At least tell me why you keep leaving!"
"I can't," Katy said over her shoulder as she rushed to the door. "I will tell you, just not yet."
"KATY PERRY!" Katy heard Bradford yell as she slammed the door shut.
"Oh great," she thought miserably. "Another person mad at me. Good going Katy!" As Katy approached Demi's room she stopped. She couldn't do it. She couldn't go in. Now she was here she was too scared to even open the door. In the end Demi did for her. Demi had every intention of going to drag Katy to her room, in the end she didn't have far to drag her.
"Katy!" She said in surprise. "I was just coming to get you! Why are you standing out here?" Katy didn't answer and just looked questioningly at Demi.
"Can I come in then?" She asked after a while. Demi shook her head and pulled the door so it was almost closed, but not completely. "Why not?" Katy asked, more than a little confused.
"Destiny sleeping," Demi snapped. Katy looked at Demi, suddenly angry.
"Okay, what's the big idea Demi? You drag me out of a conference call, supposedly because of Destiny, only to tell me that she's sleeping!" Katy yelled furiously. Demi glared at Katy and rolled her eyes at her.
"Yeah Katy, she cried herself to sleep! She was in such a state I couldn't get her to even look at food, let alone eat it! I had to hold her for hours just incase she bolted to the bathroom! It took an eternity before she actually did sleep and I could get my own food! And all of that was all your fault!" Demi said harshly to her. Katy shook her head defensively.
"How was it my fault? I didn't do anything!" She said frustratedly.
"She thinks you hate her Katy," Demi said quietly. "Look you can go if you want... I'll look after her tonight. Go back to your conference call. I know, with you, work always comes first..." Demi began shutting the door, but Katy grabbed her arm.
