The mention of your name,
is like a pen
stabbing at a parchment.
Until it shreds and rips from end to end.
The thought,
of who you used to be,
confuses my mind.
You're not who you were. Not closely.
You've faded and rippled, and I've become a phase.
In your new life,
you've most likely forgotten my face.
The lies we were told.
When we were younger.
We used to believe.
But no longer.
Best friends forever?
That never lasted.
