The burning water
splashes my back.
Scalding my flesh,
and hurting my body.
The shower runs on
and I stand in its stream.
As I burn my skin
It's feels like a dream.
A numb nightmare
that I can't feel.
What's happening?
Is this even real?
I can't feel it anymore,
so I lay in the tub,
and wish for more.
To burn my skin.
And I lay still
and stiff.
And watch the water slowly rise.
Until it covers my mouth.
And I have to close my eyes.
I let myself drown.
