Veronica's p.o.v.

The night before.....

I closed the balcony door and made my way back to my room. Remembering that Grant texted me earlier that day I grabbed my phone and sent him a message.

Rose 🌹: Yeah I found an apartment. I'm sorry I couldn't message you earlier; I was pretty busy.

I waited for a few minutes and he didn't respond.

Rose 🌹: Goodnight 😁

The next morning.....

"Wake up Veronica!"

"What the fuck?" I said as I rolled over and rubbed my eyes on my bed.

"Let's go! Get up; come on!" Lola said as she jumped on my bed. She got up and grabbed my arm yanking it gently. She was already fully dressed with flip flops, a blue tank top and jean shorts. Her hair was in a long braid and she had makeup on.

Sitting up, I asked her, "Alright, why am I up at 6 am?" I had horrible bed head and blurry vision.

"Remember when you promised you would go and check out stuff here in California with me?" She said wriggling her eyebrows, "Ricky called and said he has a day off. He offered to show us around."

"I don't know Lola. We just got here," I said as I got up and went to go grab some shorts out of my drawer and a T-shirt out of the closet.

"Oh c'mon," she countered following me as I got clothing out for the day, "I know we just got here and everything but don't you want to see what they have to offer here? Restaurants, movie theaters; we might find a bowling alley if we're in luck." She emphasized the last part specifically.

I loved bowling. It was the only sport I really had motivation to join and it was a lot of fun.

I rolled my eyes, "Fine," she squealed, "but I'm going bowling with you soon if we find a bowling alley." She sighed. I laughed and said, "That's the price you pay for waking me up so early."

"Okay, okay I'll go bowling with you. Now get ready. Ricky will be here in 20 minutes," she said as she closed the door.

"Thanks for the heads up," I rolled my eyes as I let the early morning sarcasm out. I went to my small speaker and turned on a Disney song from Tangled.

"And at last I see the light, and it's like the fog has lifted....." I began singing at the top of my lungs in the shower. Just as I finished someone banged on the other side of the wall.

"Quiet down in there!!" The person said.

"I'm sorry!" I shouted back.

Completely embarrassed I went back into the bedroom. I put my shorts and old bowling T-shirt on before I dried my hair. I grabbed my bag, wallet and flip flops just in time.

"Veronica! Ricky's here!" Lola shouted from the living room.

"Ok I'm coming!" I said as I slipped flip flops on, put my bag on and tied my hair back all at the same time. I also grabbed my camera and slung it around my neck. Maybe I could get some pictures.

"Hey Ricky," I said as I walked out into the living room. He had already made himself at home on the couch. "Ready to go?" I asked with a laugh.

Realizing that we were now waiting for him, he got up quickly, "Yeah, yeah I'm ready." He tapped on his phone a few more times as he walked up to me.

"Who are you texting?" Lola asked and I wiggled my eyebrows.

He laughed and rolled his eyes, "I just had to sort out a few things. No big deal though."

We made our way downstairs to another car with blacked out windows. "I'm going to have to talk to Alex."

"Why's that?" Ricky asked after Lola and I got in the backseat and he got in the drivers seat.

"These dark colored cars make me feel depressed. That and they're so closed off. I'm going to ask him to make 'our car' a Jeep," I explained.

Ricky laughed, but he agreed, "We'll ask him later but for now let's just have fun."

We spent the day going from restaurant to movie theater; store to park. It was awesome.

"Today was so much fun!" I said as we walked to the car with bags from PINK, Lush, H&M and a few other stores.

"It was great!" Lola agreed.

"Yeah but there's one more thing I want to show you guys. You might like it a lot, Veronica," he winked and smiled so big. I was wondering what the place was but I didn't say anything. Instead, I sat in the car anxious and alert.

We pulled up to a brick building that had no sign, only a single door. "Please tell me that this isn't some weird place," I told Ricky with a weird look on my face.

He chuckled, "I promise it isn't weird. Let's go." He got out of the car and helped us out before going to hold the door for us. "Ladies first," he said.

"Holding the door for me before I go into a weird and creepy place. Thanks," I said sarcastically. He only laughed. I walked in and I stood there shocked. "Holy crap! Why didn't you say that we were coming here?!"

"I knew you'd like it." Ricky stood there with a crooked smile on his face, "I noticed your camera and picture frames when they were unpacking your guys' stuff. I thought that I'd show you the local studio. You can develop your negatives and pictures here."

As my eyes started to tear up, I went over and hugged him, "Thank you so much. This is like a piece of home."

"No problem," he said as he awkwardly patted my back, "Now let's get you two and that mountain of bags back to the apartment."

"Ok let's go! We should go swimming at the beach later," Lola said as she linked her arm with mine and we walked out the door into the sunny and hot California weather.

"Haha maybe. I'll see," I told her. I whispered, quiet for only her to hear, "We've got to talk about something though."

"Ok, we will," she whispered back.

Ethan's p.o.v.

Grayson and I were both at home; he was cooking and I was editing this week's video.

"Gray, come check this out!" I shouted from my room, my voice raspy from tearing up.

"Ok; hey, why are you crying?" He asked as he came into my room.

"The video, hold on I need a tish," I said laughing slightly while getting up to go get a Kleenex. I sat back down in the chair at the computer, "This video just brought back so many memories from tour." I dabbed at my eyes, making Gray laugh. We watched the video then. 12 minutes later, we were both wiping our eyes and blowing our noses.

"You were right, it did bring back a lot of memories," Grayson said as he wiped at his eyes.

"Yeah, like when you had to jump in that river," I said laughing as I had tears blurring my vision.

"That was so frickin cold!" Gray exclaimed and put his hand to his chest dramatically. We both laughed.

"Now that we've both cried over all of the memories, go finish dinner; I'm hungry," I pushed him off the bed.

"Okay, okay I'm going," he threw his hands up in mock defeat. Just as he left, my phone lit up.

Rose 🌹: Hey

"Keep it cool E; remember what Gray said. Remember what you promised him," I said as I picked up my phone, shaking, and started typing.
