I stared at my phone slightly shocked. Why did my phone vibrate after Ethan stopped typing? Is he Grant?

Lola skipped towards me, "Grayson is so adorable." She was totally swooning over him.

I rolled my eyes, "And you're totally in love with him." I walked back to the couch still looking at my phone.

"Yeah," she said smiling. "Why are you staring at your phone with a weird look on your face?" Lola jumped onto the couch next to me.

"You saw how Ethan was typing on his phone right?"

"Yeah, why?" She said hesitantly.

"Well every time he stopped typing my phone vibrated in my pocket. I've been talking to this fan through YouTube and there were two messages from the fan, Grant," I said as I showed her the conversation.

She read it and was silent for a moment. "So you've been talking to this guy for how long?"

"I've been talking to him for three almost four weeks I think. It was just before the channel really blew up."

"Ok." She said simply.

"You aren't upset?"

"Why would I be? I happy because you really got to this person's emotions. I'm glad that your fans can connect with you; I mean they've gotten you here. Who knows what they can do in a few years," she said as she stood up and went to grab the phone.

"But you aren't upset that I've been talking to someone who wants to meet up?" I asked as I followed her and hopped up on the counter.

"No just as it doesn't put our safety in jeopardy," she told me as she typed a number into the phone, "Now go finish unpacking, I'm getting a pizza." She poked my side making me get off the counter.

"Okay, okay," I said as I jumped off the counter and headed toward my room. I went into my room and sighed with my hands on my hips as I looked around at the 25 boxes and bare furniture in the room.

"Let's get started," I said as I sat down next to the box with my bedding in it.

An hour later, the room was complete. Clothing was hung up and stashed away in drawers. Shoes in the closet and my bed made up. There were a few empty picture frames and a huge pile of books laying in the corner. I still had to get a bookshelf and the frames were for pictures I'd develop.

"It looks good," Lola said from the door frame behind me making me jump.

"Why'd you have to scare me?!"

"I didn't mean too," she said chuckling as she walked in and sat down on the edge of the bed. "I was just saying that your room looks great for putting it all together in an hour."

"Thanks," I said as I went and opened the windows even farther because it was hot in the room. "And it better look good cause I'm sweating." I laid down on the bed across from her; sinking into the fluffy mattress.

She laughed, "It looks great. What are those frames for and why are your books in a heap on the floor over there?" She asked.

"I don't have a bookshelf yet," I told her with my eyes still closed, "My old one I left back at home. I'll have to look into ordering one later. The frames are for my pictures as soon as I find someplace I can develop them."

"Cool. Well," Lola started as she looked at my phone on the nightstand, "Since we're still on Midwest time let's get to bed."

"Sounds good to me," I said as I sat up and rubbed my eyes.

"G'night," I heard her say from down the hallway.

"G'night," I said just before she closed her door. It was still slightly sunny outside as I changed out of shorts and my tank top into sweats and an oversized T-shirt while putting my hair up into a messy bun. I walked out into the living room and then to the balcony. I slid the door open as quietly as I could and I stepped out onto the warm balcony. The sea breeze brushed a few errands of my hair loose as I leaned against the railing taking in the sunset. Golds, reds and pinks were painted across the horizon as the sun went down over the ocean. It was beautiful. As I stood there, I listened to the different noises outside. People talking, sounds of car horns in the distance and bushes moving in the wind. One particular bush seemed to have more than small bugs in it.

"Who's there?" I said loud enough for whatever it was to hear me as I looked down at the bush. Whatever was there must've heard me because it stopped moving and the began to move in sync with the other brush. I looked away from the bushes and back at the sunset. "I'm going to make a place for myself in California. Lola and I will make a place for ourselves in California," I whisper to the sunset, promising we make it our own.

"I promise we'll make it our own."

Ethan's p.o.v.

"Dude, she knew we were here!" Grayson said to me as we stood up after she went back inside the apartment, "You've got to stop moving around so much!"

"You're the one who wanted to hide in bushes and for what? To see if the girl Lola would come out on the balcony," I snapped at Gray as I stood up along with him.

"Ok E; you've got me I like her," Grayson said snapping at me, "But you have no right to talk to me in a condescending way. You're obsessed with that YouTuber." Fuming, he started walking away from me.

Watching him walk away, I realized that I was acting stupid. I'm acting like a jerk just because of this YouTuber. "Gray, wait up."

"What!?" He turned around.

"Look I'm sorry for acting like a jerk," I said, caving in, "I know that just apologizing won't make it any better but I'm going to make it up to you. I'm going to stop mopping around."

He was silent for a moment. Then he laughed, "You don't have to apologize like that. Let's go to the skate park for a while." He started walking toward our Jeep.

"Ok sounds good!" I responded as I climbed into the front seat. Just as I turned the car on my phone vibrated in my pocket but I ignored it.
