Lani,

Two weeks have passed since the whole Mark's death incident and since then I've had both of their funerals. Mark's and Tasha's.

I know it seems weird for me to have paid for Mark's funeral but being bitter gets you nowhere in life. Now I didn't do as much as I did for Tasha but I made it happen.

Anyways, since then I've been beyond busy, Jacob started preschool and I decided not to put him up for adoption. The last thing I wanted was for him to end up with people who weren't good enough for him. Being with me would be the best.

As for the twins, they both started walking and its harder to keep up with them. Its like you get on calm then, the other starts. Or, you have both crying and screaming. Chris has been a huge help though. Always has.

We're both working hard to continue a JumpStart on our careers but having three kids makes it hard to do. If you know what I mean.

Chris,

"Bro you sure you wanna do this? You got years to think about it." Ty said as I looked at the variety of engagement rings in front of me.

"Hell yea I'm sure man, I don't wanna think about. Its not like I'm marrying her now. I just wanna let her know I'm in 110%." I said not taking my eyes away from the one that really caught my eyes.

"How much is that one?" I asked the store clerk. She picked it up and scanned it showing me the numbers.

"2,799.99." Ty repeated like I clearly couldn't see that shit.

"And it has how many carats?" I asked her.

"12. Its a great price for this type of ring actually." She said and I nodded pulling out my credit card.

"I want it." She nodded and took the card.

"Lani got you whipped boy!" Ty  chuckled and I laughed a little taking the bag with the ring and my card leaving the store.

"I'm not ashamed of that. She mines." I smiled widely getting into my car.

"How you go propose?" He asked as I pulled off.

"Oh I got you and Chyna on babysitting duties tonight by the way, and I'm taking her to Canada." Ty head shot in my direction.

"Nigga please. How the fuck you go try to have me and Chyna watch y'all bad ass kids. All three of em." He stated like I was stupid.

"I talked to chyna. She said it was alright and we'll be back tomorrow night." Ty shook his head.

"Imma be at a hotel fuck that. She on her lonesome tonight. Last time I watched them mutha fuckas I got bite four times. By both twins each.!" I laughed. The twins was bad as fuck and they wasn't even a year yet.

"Whatever. But imma fly her to a hotel in Canada so we can get away for a Lil bit." We pulled into my driveway and got out.

We couldn't even get the door open before the twins started yelling with excitement.

"See already yelling." Ty said and Lani stuck her middle finger up.

"Leave my babies alone!" She kissed liberty's cheeks.

"Chyna want the kids to spend the night so Ty go take them with him." I said.

"How if I came here with you?" He pointed out and I sighed.

"Nigga take my car." Lani helped get the kids ready and soon they were out.

"Get dressed pack an overnight bag." I said and she looked at me confused.

"For what?"

"Just do it ma, be ready in a hour." I kissed her lips and walked out our room. Once I heard the shower running letting me know she was in there I packed my bag and sat the ring on top safely.

"Are you gonna tell me where we going?" Lani asked while I grabbed our bags putting them on the plane.

"Just sit down and relax babygirl." I told her sitting next to her. She sat down and continued looking at me. I had everything already prepared for us. I called a few of my boys so they could help me out.

An hour later we touched down in Canada, and Lani got off the plane confused as hell.

"Chris what's going on?" She smiled and I ignored her taking our bags to the car I had waiting for us.

"Didnt I tell you to relax? Stop asking questions ma." I opened her car door letting her get in then went to my side pulling off.

Of course she didn't listen and continued to ask questions. When we got to the hotel I got our bags and opened her door for her. We got the key and went up to our hotel. I opened the door and Lani's jaw dropped.

"Aw babe! Its gorgeous." She gasped going inside looking around. I didn't know it would look this good to be honest.

"All for you baby." I sat the bags down and she wrapped her arms around me tightly kissing me.

"I love you!" She whispered kissing my lips again. I picked her up kissing her back.

"I love you too." I stared at her with a smile. I didn't even want to propose in a big way anymore. It wouldn't be as special if I did it that way. I put her down on the bed and went back over to my bag pulling he velvet box that held the ring out.

I slid it in my pocket and went back over to Lani. She gave me a weird look like she knew I was up to something.

"What you doing?" She asked and I remained quiet getting down on one knee.

"Lani...I've always wanted you. Even when I was treating you like shit. I knew one day I was go be able to call you. I didn't think shit would turn out the way it did but I wouldn't change anything for the world. You and the kids are my life now and I only want to spend it with all of you. I want to make sure our kids have no worries and that maybe way down the line we could have another. Years from now. Anyways, I love you Lani no not just love you I'm in love with you and I want you to marry me." That wasn't even the speech I had written. I spoke what I felt and meant every word.

Lani covered my mouth and had tears going down her cheeks as she repeatedly nodded her head yes.

"Of course baby, I love you too!" She said wrapping her arms around me. I smiled and kissed her lips passionately. I had what was mines and was never letting it go. This woman changed me.
