Lani,

Chris walked in the hospital room around eight o'clock. He had a bag with him. I rolled my eyes and picked up my phone so I could properly ignore him.

"Hey baby." He said kissing my cheek. I kept quiet and got on Facebook. The doctor should be bringing Legend in for another feeding any minute now.

"You can't speak?" Chris said and I started to talk but the door opened and the nurse came in with Legend in the crib.

"Oh good both of you are here now you can sign the birth certificates that's on the counter over there. Dad do you want to feed him?" She asked and Chris hesitated before saying yea. He out his phone on charge then picked up Legend and started feeding him. I watched and smiled as he rocked him side to side.

"She left out and I grabbed the birth certificates and filled them out signing my name. I sat the clipboards in the chair next to Chris so he could sign them when he was done.

After Legend finished eating I showed Chris how to burp him just how the nurse showed me. He rocked Legend to sleep and put him in the crib then signed the certificates.

"Where was you all day?" I asked pulling the cover over me.

"Making sure we was straight." He said yawning. I didn't know what the hell that meant and to be honest I wasn't in the mood to care. I just wanted him here and now that he was I could go to sleep.

"You staying?" I asked getting comfortable careful not to hurt myself.

"Of course." He said and I handed him one of my pillows. He pulled the chair up to the bed and put his legs up getting some of the blanket.

The next morning we woke up to the doctor knocking on the door.

"Come in." Chris mumbled pulling the cover over his head.

"She came in with a bottle in her hand and a smile on her face.

"Time for him to eat again." She said and I nodded. I just got him to go to sleep. Do you know how many times he woke us up last night? Let that nigga sleep.

She picked him up and handed him to me. He was smiling and moving way more than yesterday. I kissed his cheek and put the bottle in his mouth.

"Can I see Liberty?" I asked knowing Chris hadn't seen her yet. She nodded her head.

"Yea, she actually is getting fed right now too so when she's done we'll let you too go see her." She said leaving out the room.

"Finish feeding and burping him I gotta pee." I told Chris and he reluctantly woke up grabbing Legend and the bottle from me.

I got up and walked to the bathroom still in pain. After I handled my business and washed my hands I came back out and saw Chris burping the baby. He looked so tired. Chris did.

"You ready to see Liberty?" I asked and he nodded handing me Legend. Once the nurse came to get Legend she took us to see Liberty.

This time she was awake but still had so many tubes hooked up to her. Chris shifted on his feet and dug his hands in his pockets. Did he think it was my fault?

"She look helpless..." I said lowly. He shook his head.

"No, she look like a baby that was born early." He said and I nodded.

Chris,

When I saw Liberty I didn't know what to think or say. What could I say? One baby is perfectly fine and the other might not even make it. It's hard.

I was honestly scared to touch her. She was different from Legend. Lani reached her hand in and touched her cheek. The baby moved around a little giving a tiny small. I chuckled a lil bit.

"Touch her." she said and I raised my eyebrow.

"I'm straight." I said I mumbled taking a step back.

"Chris she doesn't know you, she needs to so touch her." I sighed looking at her. The fuck do me touching her got to do with her knowing me?

"Alright damn." I slowly put my hand in there and touched her hand. Her small fingers wrapped around my index finger and I smiled.

"See..." Lani trailed off and I rubbed my her small hand before letting go. Now that she's actually here I feel different about everything than I did when Lani was pregnant.

I guess it's because it happened so fast but now I know that I really gotta get out the game. The shit I do won't end well if I don't stop soon.

Me and Lani headed back to the room but when we got there we froze.
