Lani,

I woke up in the hospital room alone. No Chris, no babies and no doctors in sight. I yawned a little and picked up my phone dialing Chris number. I went straight to voicemail which kinda made me irritated.

"Oh good your awake." The nurse said coming in the room with Legend in a crib. She rolled him over to me and handed me a hospital bottle.

"Are you gonna breastfeed the babies or do you plan on bottle feeding them?" She asked and I shrugged. That was another thing I didn't think of.

"Okay how about I show you how to bottle feed and if he doesn't take to the bottle I'll show you how to breastfeed him." I nodded sitting up a little. Since I just had a C-section a few hours ago it was still painful to move.

She picked him up carefully and I watched her as she supported his neck. I watched her closely taking mental notes of what she was doing.

She handed him to me and I cradle him gently putting the bottle in his mouth. He immediately started eating and I smiled admiring his features. His soft hair is what got me the most. It reminded me of Chris' hair.

"When will I be able to see my daughter?" I asked while still feeding him.

"After he eats you can go see her but she is hooked up to alot of cords. Some are helping her breath some are to feed her and stuff like that. She just needs to be monitored for a while." I nodded giving a small smile.

After he drunk the bottle she gave me a blanket and showed me how to burp him. He was so tiny it made me think I was gonna break him.

"Why is he so small?" I asked as she out the top on the bottle.

"Because he's a premature. He's only four pounds and usually a baby is supposed to be at least 6 or 7 pounds." She explained I quietly nodded. Still I was the only one to blame. Only me.

"You ready to go see your baby girl?" She said and I nodded smiling a little.

"Of course."

"Okay I'm gonna go put him back so he can get some sleep then I'll be right back." She taking him out my hands. While I waited for her I tried calling Chris again but it just kept going to voicemail. He should be here with me not roaming the damn streets.

Ten minutes later she came back with a wheelchair and helped me into it. We went to the intensive care unit and the first thing I saw was Liberty attached to a bunch of tubes and cords. There were tubes in her nose and everything.

I carefully stood up and walked over to her and just stared at her sleeping. I couldn't get it out of my head that it was my fault. I did this to her and it was nothing I could do.

"I'm sorry baby." I whispered gently rubbing my hand. She moved around a little but stayed asleep. I wanted to hold her so bad. I just need her to know that I didnt mean for this to happen.

Chris,

"Chris their newborns why the hell would you need a walker?" Ty said taking the box from me putting it back. I had asked him and Chyna to help me buy this stuff and get their room ready.

"Well shit what the fuck do they need?" I asked grabbing more bottles putting it in the cart.

"Did you even get carseats? A baby swing? Shit did you get baby cribs?" Chyna said throwing some more stuff in the cart.

"Nope." She shook her head and motioned for me to follow her. We stopped at the aisle that had all the stuff she named.

"Pick out the carseats I'll get the baby beds and stuff." I started looking at all the carseats until one caught my eye. I looked at the price and sighed. I ain't been in this store twenty minutes and was already up to 1,000 dollars.

"Fuck it." I mumbled grabbing two of the carseats. Even after I bought everything I was still gonna have to out this shit together.

"Alright I got the beds and stuff. You got the furniture now you need clothes and diapers and stuff."

"Damn, well let's take this stuff to my house me and Ty can out it together and I'll give you some money to buy all that shit." I said as we got in line.

"Last minute shopping?" The cashier said as she started scanning everything. I nodded pulling out my wallet. Every time she scanned something the numbers went up.

"2,319.99." she said and I sighed handing her my credit card. We got everything and put it in my truck. I handed Chyna a bunch of money and me and Ty got in my truck pulling off.

"Damn y'all haven't even painted the room yet?" He said and I laughed shaking my head.

"Hell nah but that was kind of a good thing because we didn't know we was having a boy too." I said and he nodded. I mean we bought the paint tho.

"Lani wanted the room to be pink and green and she already bought it so..." I said looking around the room.

"We can make it work." Ty assured me.amd I went in the laundry room to get the paint a brushes so we could get started. This needed to be done nicely but quickly so we had no time to waste.
