Lex's POV

The next day back at school was... unwelcome, I suppose. But I guess that's normal right?

Today is the big day. The big, big day. Im going to step out of my comfort zone today and be someone I'm not.

"Lex Adver" Mr Bates snapped."Can you tell me where the rain falls in Spain?"

I stopped day dreaming and looked up, Mr Bates who was glaring at me. What do I say? Ummm Rain in Spain... Spain has rain.

"In Spain" I answered. Mr Bates ignored me, proving I was wrong.

I sat back and looked over to my right. Jake just stuck his tongue out at my failure. I glared at him menacingly then burst into quiet giggles.

BEEP BEEP BEEP

I moved out of class, putting my books away and moved out of the buildings. Deep Breaths, Lex, You can do this. If I was anyone else i'd be wondering what's wrong with me.

The Strange 4 were playing basketball, Everyone for themselves it seemed. They had a faded ball and they took up half a court. Calm down Lex, Your a Adver, you can SURVIVE! I slowly walked over to them and Andy noticed my awkward presence on the edge of the court.

"Hey Lex" He smiled, telling the boys to stop the game.

"Hey- Um- I was wondering- Err-" I trailed off nervously.

What are you doing Lex?! Facing 4 tall boys?! Pick up your confidence and run away! While you still can!

"What's wrong?" Sam asked, moving close to me.

"Can I hang out with you guys?" I blurted out quickly covering my mouth.

They looked to each other with wide grins. Wide grins? more like freaky as grins!

"Sure Lex" Sam smiled throwing me the ball.

I took and step back and smirked, dribbling the ball towards the hoop when it mysteriously went out of my grip by two large hands. Jake just let out a small chuckle and shot it into the hoop.

"Nice try Lexus" Jake laughed.

School went by fast as It could and it was after school. I was casually walking to somewhere with the boys. Sam brought his skateboard too for me to try. We were currently only 10 metres away from school and already, something strange was going on.

"Does it matter if Bates is following us?" I asked them, cocking an eyebrow.

"Run" Felix rashly sighed.

We bean running down the street and to the left where the shops were, Bates was advancing on us like there was no tomorrow.

"Lex" Andy barked. "I want you to run away, to Arachne Lane as fast as you possibly can"

What does he think he's doing? Im not leaving them in a million years.

"Never Andy! I'm not leaving you guys" I shouted back, balling my fists in anger.

"Lex, Lex... Listen" Sam tried to reason, pointing his hand at me. "You don't know what's going on, you don't understand"

I know full well what's going on, with a demonic Mr Bates chasing after them.
