Chapter Nineteen

Lex's POV

[Emergency A/N: after re-watching season one I have realised 'Zanes' name is actually Trent and I will change all chapters with him accordingly. Thank you for understanding]

'Dear Lexus Adver' the letter began in light font that was neatly scribbled.

'Us boys may hassle you from time to time, you having to protect us twenty-four-seven. But each and everyday you have poured your hearts into four useless boys that made a mistake. I've grown to know you better and better, you and I slowly opening ourselves up. Honestly, you can hassle use too but it's in the nature of a lightening spirit. We all love you Lex, believe us.'

The writing next changed to a dark, less neat writing which I realised was Jakes writing and the above was Felixs.

'From all the useless and forgotten nicknames you've gave us to the screaming at eels, your still a weirdo. But now when you've opened your heart to boys in a shack, we've dragged you to the shack with us. Thanks for sticking with us Lex, no one else would of. Besides, no sane person would stick with boys that once tried to kill her and threaten her existence.'

I began to tear up, no one every wrote me anything kind nor say it. They kept their mouths shut but Felix and Jake opened it up. I smiled uncontrollably at the paragraphs, too focused to take my eyes away from the page.

I locked the journal back up, putting it my bag beside me. The dusk was beginning to fade away, in the Far East the sky all ready faded to deep purples and blues. Taking one last look around the scenery, I headed inside the shack. I grabbed the lantern hanging on the shelf and clicked my fingers, the lantern beginning to glow inside the small frame.

"Lex, if you don't mind after school you, Jake and Andy are going to Andys family restaurant to see if we can find anything, Felix and I are going to Phoebes" Sam explained once I sat down against the wall.

"That's fine with me" I smiled, sitting down next Jake.

We split into our own conversations, Andy and Felix speaking about something to do with science studies at school, Sam and Jake discussing sports leaving myself to rummage through my bag.

My favourite dagger was inside here, the family heirloom. I took a quick look at the dagger, the shiny blade reflecting the light. It showed blurry reflection of myself, my blonde and brown hair falling over my face. I put it away, closing the bag. I tied my hair back and grabbed Andy's bag.

"Im gonna split the food up" I answered before he could ask.

The only food was a two-day old loaf of uncut bread. I broke it off into pieces, handing it each to us. The boys all hungry ate our small chunks of bread. I ate half and split the rest up to each of the other boys, very thankful for my contribution.

From there we had light talk until in was time for sleep.

Andy, Jake and I watched through the small windows at the back of the Chinese restaurant.

"My nai nai makes the best dumplings" Andy groaned in anticipation.

"We'll see about that" I smirked.

Once all family members were out of the kitchens we raced in, Andy going to the front to get the freshest food and Jake and I racing to the near by area near the storage, just for caution.

"Have you ever dined here?" Jake asked.

I scurried through the boxes for something edible "Once, long time ago"

I watched Jake rummage through the food, only to have his eyes fall onto something suspicious in a jar.

"Don't eat that Riles, I don't want a sick boy on my hands" I muttered, pulling out a small bag of those Chinese chips.

I saw Andys sister laughing and heading for the kitchens. I grabbed Jake and ran into the storage room. We stayed quiet but it was too late for Andy. His sister yelled and caused a commotion. We were stuck in here.

"Get out freak!" We heard her yell.

With a smash and a clang a dining trolley was rammed into Andy.

"How will we get out?" Jake peered through the window, watching Andy explain wormholes and such.

"I don't know Jake" I snapped angrily, trying to think.

Felix's POV

"Where are the others?" Phoebe suspiciously asked.

"Out" Sam blurted out.

I could hit Sam right now but I won't, he'll take it harshly. Phoebe rolled her eyes, ignoring Sams response.

Phoebe looked through Alice's book of shadows until she landed on something, tapping the page and rushing over to her desk.

"This, this might get you home" Phoebe grinned, reading over the ingredients.

I walked over and peered over her shoulder, a smile appearing on my face "It just might"

Sam jogged over, looking over the heavily decorated page. He chuckled, containing his excitement.

"We have to get the others! Now" He sped out of the backdoor.

"Are you going to get him or what Felix?" Phoebe snapped.
