Chapter TEN

CHAPTER Ten: Not the Eel

(A/N IS IMPORTANT)

Lex's POV:

The Weekend...

Do I have to be honest? I was still secretly mad at Sam but some things need to be pushed past and ignored it completely. Felix had been much nicer to me recently and Andy kept on bothering me with questions of my...- lets put it this way- kind. Jake on the other hand, he was a different story. Jake suddenly wanting to make deals with me. And a lot of them involved swimming in the Bremin Lake. Now, back at my house I was cutting my sandwich in half.

"Lex.. Please... Go swimming with us!" Jake pleaded, sitting across from me in the kitchen. I rolled my eyes in ignorance. Can he just give it up?! "Pleas-"

"Fine Jake! Go ask the others boys, if they will I will!" I sighed, hoping that would shut him up. Jake smirked and jogged upstairs.

I slowly ate my sandwich, immediately regretting what I said. Imagine all the leeches in that lake and the rubbish, don't even get me started on the fish! I seriously don't want something slimy rubbing against my leg. Do I need to emphasise more?

"Tough Luck Adver" Jake's laugh echoed in the kitchen as he entered. Damn..

I rested my head on the table, groaning in annoyance. I finished my sandwich and walked upstairs, regretting the deal instantly. Why couldn't I have said no?! Why?!!!

As I arrived at the top of the stairs I heard rummaging and groans come from the black room. I slowly walked over putting my feet to the door.

"There's got to be something here, somewhere" Felix mumbled.

I knocked on the door quietly, not wanting to scare him. He opened the door and sadly for me, having my whole weight on the door fell onto Felix.

"He- Woah Lex!" Felix gasped, catching me.

"Oh- right- hey" I smiled, steading myself on my feet. "Why in the world would you agree to go swimming in the Lake?!"

"Because it would be fun and I've never done it before" Felix laughed.

I walked into my room, pulling out a green one piece that had a hole in the back. Hmm, i'll wear this! I grabbed it and walked out of the room and to the bathroom.

I jiggled the handle of the bathroom. Locked. Damn! I knocked on the door loudly.

"Who's there?" Sam yelled.

"Guess!"

"Oh, hey Lex, enter!" Sam laughed. I heard the familiar click and the bathroom door was open. Sam was pulling on his tee shirt.

"Can you- um- leave? I gotta get changed" I awkwardly asked, referencing to the green one-piece.

"Sure" Sam smiled, scooting past me and out of the bathroom. I quickly slipped out of my clothes and into the one piece before putting my clothes back on top.

I jogged down stairs, greeting the boys who finally found the butlers pantry with the food. Andy was stuffing his face with weatbixs and Felix was chugging down a cold milo.

"Finally, food!" Jake laughed.

"Do you guys even know where Bremin Lake is?" I asked, shooting Jake a cheeky glare.

"Roughly" Andy mumbled in between weatbix.

"We better get going" Jake stretched, flinging his arms above his head. We all piled out the door and down the drive way.

"So, which way from here?" Andy asked, looking around.

"I believe it's down past the school and south of Arachne lane" I answered, leaving the safety of the property.

"Which is...?" Jake trailed off.

"That way" I said, pointing straight ahead.

"Finally!" Jake annoyingly sighed

After getting lost- twice- we finally made it. We stood on the edge of the lake where it cascaded down ahead of us where gum trees stood overhead, hanging over the lake. Crammed into the side of the lake was a old row boat.

I flickered my eyes to Sams. He saw the row boat too and he seemed hurt to see the boat but quickly he shook it away.

I stretched my arms, glancing at my gloves. My gloves aren't waterproof. Damn. I slowly slip my gloves off, placing them near Jakes tee shirt that he recently took off.

I took off my bright blue teeshirt and my jeans and converses.

"If anything slimy touches my leg I'm jumping into the closest thing near bye" I mumbled, slowly making my way into the water.

I made it about hip-deep before just standing around, taking in all the nature that was around us. Sunshine, gum trees, wat- what the?!

Something slide across my ankle and I squealed, jumping onto Jake and wrapping my arms around his neck.

"What's up?" Jake asked, spinning me around slightly.

"An eel touched me" I squirmed.

"An eel?" Jake raised an eyebrow.

"Yes! Slimy and icky and gross!" I argued, trying to save my ass.

Jake just smirked and dropped me, I fell into the water, my eyesight going brown from the water. Water invaded my lungs and I quickly got very uncomfortable. I quickly tried to stand, coughing and spluttering.

"You could of killed her!" Andy yelled at Jake.

I finally regained control of my breathing and I stood, soaking wet from head to toe. Felix was splashing Andy and Jake but Sam... He wasn't anywhere near us, he was swimming over to the boat.

I waded into the water more before swimming over to join him in water I defiantly couldn't stand in. I hauled myself up on the rim of the boat with Sam.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"Mia carved that with me in my world" Sam reluctantly sighed, pointing to a small carving in the middle of the boat.

I glanced to Sam and he seemed actually heart broken. My heart weakened at the sight of it.

"Hey now Sam, at least you get to create it all over again" I smiled, trying to cheer him up.

"Guess so Lex" Sam wearily smiled.

We swam back over to where the others were, splashing about in the mucky water. I looked up to the now fading blue sky, it was turning orange and red.

"We should head home" I said, making my way to the edge of the lake. I dried myself off and got into my clothes. I watched the boys make their way back to the shore. What a great day huh? But I had a feeling that this was the only good day I was going to have in a while...

<A/N: I have this story idea called Secrets. It's about these two totally different people at highschool and la di da stuff but one day one of the nerdiest girls at the school turns up at his doorstep telling him his life is in danger except the nerd girl doesn't look the same, she looks completely different. So the basic of the story is she has this secret identity and he now works with her to save people and stuff but she has a even bigger secret and they gotta struggle through having high school and secret life and stuff. Yeah Idk if I should make it like i got Everything sorted idk if anyone would read it though :(

On another note A VERY BIG part is coming soon that may last from chapter 11 or 12 to 14 or 15! it's like my own imaginative ending for ep 13 except this goes with my story line and isn't the end at all! xx Thanks for all the reads
