Chapter THIRTEEN

Felix's POV:

"Where are we now?" I asked, brushing himself off.

"On Earth" Lex replied.

"Gee thanks Sassy McGee" I rolled my eyes. I ran a hand through my hair before looking out over the landscape.

"HELLOOO?!" Lex called out.

I looked over to Lex who was looking up one of the trees nearby. She gripped the tree and began to climb to the closest branch.

"Your climbing the tree?" I

sarcastically.

"Well" Lex trailed off "Its better than climbing the drop"

I heard crunches in this distance and talking. The voices were slowly getting closer. Those voices weren't possessed voices.

"Lex?" I cautiously asked. "You really might wanna get down"

"Why?" She looked down to me. She was halfway to the top. "I'm nearly there!"

"Theres someone coming" I warned, moving over the base of the tree.

"Okay" Lex started edging down the tree.

I slowly watched her as she gripped the tree and tried to grab it. Her foot slipped and she let out a unexpected yell.

"Don't worry Lex! I'll catch you" I yelled out to her.

"Okay" Lex worriedly mumbled.

She slowly let go and dropped down and I quickly scooped her up I'm my arms. Like earlier she clinged to my tee shirt and buried her head in my chest.

She cautiously let herself down and pointed the dagger in the direction of the voice.

"Show yourself! Go ahead!" Lex shouted, steading her arms threatenly.

Who are they?! What do they want?!

"Was it just me or did you hear Adver?" A very familiar voice asked.

Is that? No... it couldn't be. They'd be no way they could find us here!

Lex turned to me, her eyebrows raising. Her look easily recognised as 'Did you hear that?'

"Sam? Jake? Andy?" I yelled out.

My voice echoed loudly, ricking off the trees. I saw shadows form closer in the distance and I immediately knew they were human.

"LEX! FELIX!" Jakes voice screamed out.

His figure ran through the trees at an alarming rate. His yellow shirt was abnormally faded and his shorts had stains dotted all over it.

"Lex" He smiled. He raced over to her and hugged her, grinning madly.

Lex smiled back, wrapping her arms around him. Sam emerged from the trees with his skateboard.

"You found the skateboard!" Lex beamed running over to him.

Jake wandered over to me, high-fiving instantly.

"How did you survive? Andy quickly figured it out since Mia and Ellen came running to us" Jake asked.

"Lex- she came out of no where and saved me..." I slowly trailed off.

I was reluctant to tell him about what Lex admitted to me. I wasn't quite sure if I could tell people, like she said- she didn't want to be a burden.

"Andys back at Phoebes with her- we should head back" Sam shrugged his shoulders, twisting the skateboard in his hands.

"And I've got something to admit when we get back" Lex glanced at me slightly "You all deserve to know"

I knew what she was talking about. She was still recovering from admitting such a deathly secret. She kept on glancing at me, having the same look on her face. 'I'm sorry Felix'

Lexs POV

"They're back!" I heard Andy frantically yell out.

I half-heartedly laughed "Hey Andy"

He engulfed me into a sweet hug. He broke off quickly and we began to disembark into our seats at Arachne Lane.

"You had to tell us something, remember Adver?" Sam reminded me quickly.

"What do you mean tell? Lex is there something you should tell us?" Phoebe pitched in.

I reluctantly sat down my my head in my hands. I nervously mumbled to myself and played with my hair.

"I have to tell you this because I told Felix- I never wanted to be a burden. I didn't want to be a thing you have to look out for" I started to ramble on "Im really sorry and I understand if you want to forget about me forever"

"Lex- tell them already, stop stalling" Felix told me, sending a glare.

"If any of you 4 boys die- I die too" I announced.

They all shared looks to each other, some more surprised than the first. Jake looked at me worriedly.

"How could you keep this a secret from us for so long" He asked.

"I didn't want to be a burden but when I blurted it out to Felix I couldn't just tell one" I sighed.

They took that better than expected!

Don't recommend Percy Jackson or Hunger Games though! There's so many about them already!

OOH DAMN I LOVE THE SECRET OF MOONACRE but I'm scared that i'll stop dreaming about it if I make a fanfic so eek
