"Gone? What do you mean gone?" Stiles' panicked voice bellowed from the phone, and Liam was forced to pull it away from his ear for a moment.

"I mean she's gone! As in, she left and I can't find her anywhere," Liam explained for the second time, raking his hands through his hair harshly. He twirled around Stiles' room in a rushed worry, eyes darting around the room.

"Wait, wait, explain what happened, Liam," said Stiles. Liam wasn't making any sense, and Liam being too panicked to make any sense made Stiles panic even more. "Where are you?" His voice was still filled with dread and worry, and there was no questioning why that was. It was clear Lexi now had a special place in Stiles' heart, that he cared for the girl like a younger sister, or even how he figured he'd care for his own daughter one day, and the thoughts of what could happen to her scared the crap out of him.

"She, she wanted to get out of the house," Liam explained. He was beginning to stutter, tripping over simple words. Lexi was gone, nowhere to be found, and if anything happened to her – that was all on him. "S-She wanted to watch me practice, so I took her to the park. She asked about Theo, about why he took her, so I told her –"

"You told her?" Stiles repeated in shock, and Liam could hear the worried voices of Malia, Scott, Lydia and Kira in background.

"I wasn't about to lie to her, Stiles," Liam grunted. "I told her, and I tried to explain that we were going to tell her, that we just wanted to make sure before putting any more stress on her, but she, she –"

"She doesn't understand," Stiles confirmed. "She thinks we kept from her on purpose, that we weren't going to tell her."

"And now I can't find her. She's not at the park, Scott's house, the school, the animal clinic, your house. I've checked every place I can think of. I-I don't know what to do."

"Okay, Liam, breath. Its okay, we'll find her. It's Beacon Hills and she's still new, there aren't many other places she could go. Hey, we'll find her, okay?" Stiles' voice was calm and reassuring, and for a moment it was a strange sensation to hear it from him. Because he was Stiles, sarcastic, easily angered, and he didn't really like Liam all that much.

Scott's voice came in background as "give me the phone", and then there was shuffling, and soon Liam was talking to his alpha.

"Hey, Liam?" Scott said softly, though Liam could tell he was panicked too. "Where are you now?"

"Stiles' house," Liam replied, looking around the room again.

"Okay, stay there. We're going to pick you up soon, just hold on. Don't worry, Liam," Scott said. "She's angry, but she's Lexi. She'll find her way back."

Scott was right. Liam knew Scott was right. He was the alpha, he had to be right. Lexi was mad, but she was Lexi. She didn't hold grudges. Heck, after everything she didn't even hate her own father. She'd be okay, and soon they would be too. If Scott said so, then it had to be, right?

"Okay," Liam said. He sounded calmer now, and Scott breathed a sigh of relief.

Scott hung up the phone, and turned to hand it over to Stiles. He was met with the concerned expressions of his pack, and his heart was instantly panged with guilt and worry. This was his fault. He had listened to Theo, he had given the okay and kept his mouth shut, and now Lexi was missing and Theo was AWOL. He wanted to tell them, but Stiles was red with anger and Malia looked like she had tears in her eyes. Malia never cried.

"I'm going to kill him," Stiles seethed. "I am going to rip his freaking head off!"

Scott walked towards his best friend, and put a hand on his shoulder. "Calm down, Stiles."
