Waking up the next day was, in the most simple explanation, practically impossible.

The second I woke up and moved my ankle, it took all I had not to cry out in pain and just give into death. Okay maybe a bit of an exaggeration but it was insanely painful!

"Jesse what's wrong?" Emily yawned from below me on her bunk. "You're making weird noises up there,"

"Nothing," I barely gasped out.

Obviously the pain in my voice was seeping through a lot because almost instantly Emily's face was beside my bunk looking at me worriedly.

"It's your ankle right?" she asked.

"Yeah," I hissed out; tears welling up in my eyes now.

"Are you sure you didn't break it?" she asked.

I nodded my head: I definitely only sprained it. What was strange was why it hurt so god damn much. Even in my pain-loaded state I could figure out I did something while I was asleep. What that was though, I didn't know.

"I'm going to call your mum," Emily murmured worriedly, grabbing her phone from under her pillow. "She'll know what to do,"

Turns out Emily didn't even have to call because just as she was about to, a loud knocking erupted from the door. Quickly opening it, my mother pushed past Emily gently and climbed up to my bunk. Grabbing my leg carefully, she closely examined my foot before her eyes abruptly burned red and she snapped it sideways.

"AAARRRGGGGG!" I screamed sitting bolt upright in my bed, breathing heavily when something bumped the bed from under me.

"Ow," Emily groaned. "Why the hell did you scream you moron? I just smashed my head,"

I looked around the room and calmed my racing heart.

Thank god... It was just a dream. That's all. Nothing to worry about...

"Bad dream," I replied to Emily as I removed my sheets and moved my ankle a little, only causing it to hurt slightly. "Just a bad dream,"

"Well don't do that again," Emily muttered in annoyance, getting out of bed and rubbing hear forehead. "I might have a concussion,"

"Sorry," I laughed, getting out of bed myself. "Do you want first shower?"

"Sure," she murmured, grabbing some clothes.

As she went for a shower I grabbed my phone and checked over some messages. Ignoring the ones from Kalem I read the one from Harrison explaining the meeting today was at 7pm, and we would be finding out the winning Dorm as well as something about tomorrow.

After replying back to him and also Blake who was still worrying about my ankle, Emily stepped out of the bathroom, half drying her hair as she made her way to her bed with one crutch.

I grabbed another singlet and pair of running shorts before I headed in to have a shower of my own. I didn't realise how gross my skin was for not having a shower last night until all the dried sweat washed off my body.

After getting out and getting dressed, Emily and I headed out of our room and started to wake everyone up. It was about an hour before we had to be on the oval and those who weren't awake had to get ready quick if they still wanted breakfast.

I munched away on some salted nuts I had in a container that my mother had snatched from the canteen the other day for me as I headed upstairs and woke the girls.

"I'm awake!" Charlotte called sleepily from her room as I knocked loudly.

"Hurry up! If we're late we get points deducted!" I shouted through the door.
