I ran down the dark unknown corridors, my footsteps echoed from the empty walls. My uneven panting matched the rigid pattern of my footsteps. The windows cast a blanket of shadows on the cold tiles.

I turned my head around to find nothing. Why was I running? My feet continued to move quickly past the next room, through the giant doors. I heard movement other than my own. I quickly looked around to see nothing but the debris resinating in the air.

My heart rate quickened. The branches on the dead trees outside the windows scratched them, leaving marks on the window. I looked down at what I was wearing. My body was covered in a dress- a simple white dress- it flowed down past my ankles, the halter top hugged my figure. I stared confused at the piece of clothing. Although it was very pretty, I can't imagine myself in it.

My head snapped towards the door in front of me as I heard it slam shut. The same noise occurred again but in the opposite direction of the corridor. I heard footsteps, the heels of the shoes of the owner clicking on the tiles. I froze in place. The cold air rushed through the room, picking at my bare skin. The footsteps came to a halt a few meters away from me.

"It's quite lovely to see you here." The voice began. "After all these years, you still managed to bring yourself in front of me." His voice cold. Who is this? What is he talking about? What is-- "If you'd only known what trouble was awaiting you." He snarled. "Come. Let yourself face me, let your eyes meet mine." He demanded.

I stayed frozen, staring at the carvings on the wall. "I said turn to me!" I flinched at his roaring voice. I slowly pivoted, turning my gaze towards him. He was dressed in pure black silk. His face was covered with the shadows. I squinted to see him clearly. I can only outline his features and his...curls.

Maxius?

"No, I am not the Maxius you think of." I let out a small breath I was holding. "Although, we do know each other." I could hear a faint chuckle echoing off the walls.

"Wh-who are you?" I wrapped an arm around my waist, pushing back to have as much distance from this human as much as possible.

"That is none of your concern." His lips moved in the darkness. He smirked, taking a step closer but still hidden in the shadows. There was a creaking sound as the chandelier on the ceiling came crashing down above my head. I quickly stepped back as a reflex, the chandelier crashing a millimeter ahead of me. I placed my hand on my chest, eyes going wide, mouth agape as I stared at him, his smirk growing.

The shattered glass scattered messily in front of me. He inched closer, part of his face visible in the light shown from the moonlight, standing just a millimeter away from the shreds of glass. I took a step back. Run. Why aren't you running? "What do you want from me?" It came out more confident than I'd expected.

He started laughing like a serial killer, cruel and crazy. His head threw back at his fit, a hand placed on his stomach. He put a foot into the shreds of glass, standing right in the middle of the mess. His eyes pierced through mine, he smiled grimly, "Revenge."

I heard footsteps behind me. I turned around to see four males in formal attire. One had piercing golden eyes that seemed so familiar. Another had evergreen eyes while one had oceanic blue irses. The one on the far right had chocolate brown eyes. Each had tattoos spread out through their exposed skin. Each of them had their hair styled in some sort of quiff. They seem so familiar. They all wore smug looks as all of their eyes were dark, filled with nothing but brutal and cruelness. "What are you--" My sentence got cut off as all four lifted their hands with a gun, firing at my head, stomach, and heart.

I am so sorry for the cliffhanger...again. And the chapter is so short compared to the other ones. You're all gonna probably create some sort of mob and kill me in my sleep...numerous amount of times based on the amount of times I've left you all hanging from a cliffhanger...

If anyone has any type of idea on what any of that up there was about in the chapter, comment below on what you think what this chapter was. If you get close to what it really was, I'll dedicate the next chapter to you.

Dedication: @angeloftheninjas I thought you'd like this so, yeah.
