' I'd do anything. To save you.' His words played in my head throughout the evening, night, and as I woke up.

I woke up to not have his presence by my side. I climbed out of bed, and walked into the kitchen. I leaned on the wall, watching him make whatever he was making.

"I see sleeping beauty has awaken." He turned around to reveal himself wearing an apron. "But not by a kiss from a Prince." He teased. I rolled my eyes.

"Any plans for today?"

"No, not really. Unless you want to go somewhere." He put the eggs on the plates, then cleaned up.

"Oh."

We finished eating before we started cleaning up again. He washed while I dried them. He would sometimes squirt water on me, causing a fit of squeals to escape my lips before I softly smack him on the arm.

I finished drying the last one, putting the plate into the cabinet. I turned around to see that he wasn't anywhere.

"Alden?" I yelled, looking around. I walked down the hall before getting pulled into his room. I screeched as he tickled my sides.

"You freaking twat!" I slapped him on the arm.

"Hey, now that hurt." He fake pouted, holding me in his embrace. He then smiled smugly before tickling me again, causing me to fall back onto the bed.

"So what now?" I looked up at him.

"Well, I kinda like this position." He looked down to see his body straddling mine, his arms an either sides of my body.

My cheeks used from the sudden realization. "Well, um."

"Flustered, I see?" He smirked and chuckled.

"Shuttuppp." I threw my head back, staring up at the ceiling. He simply laughed before getting off of me, plopping down next to me on the bed.

"Anything interesting about my ceiling?" He laid back down next to me, staring up at the ceiling as well.

"It's white."

"Stop being racist."

"I wasn't being racist."

"Yes you were."

"No I wasn't."

"Yes."

"No."

"Yes."

"Bacon."

"What?"

"I'm hungry."

"But you just ate!"

"So did you!"

"What are we talking about?"

"I have no idea."

Our laughter filled the room as we laid there, holding our sides as we laughed at out randomness. The laughter slowly died down.

"Who would've thought that not just a few days ago, we were total strangers. Look at us now!" I hide my face with my hands, keeping a giggle in.

"We weren't strangers." He propped himself on one arm, facing me.

"Well, we kinda were."

"We knew each other since grade school."

"Yeah, but not personally." I turned to my side, placing my head in my hand.

He let out a sigh, turning onto his back and running a hand down his face. "Oblivious."

"What are you talking about?" I sat up straight, looking down at his closed eyes admiring his toned features. There was a pause in the air, seeming as if he'd not want to elaborate.

"About six years ago, I was kind of off of my game. I wasn't really, my normal self I should say." He stared up at the ceiling, so lost in thought.

"I would get in trouble a lot. I guess you know that. But I was involved in sports. Back then, I wasn't really an all-star player. I never really had a motive to actually keep going since nobody really wanted me.

"It was until I met this girl. Or, saw this girl. She captivated me. Her whole persona. Her features, her sincerity, her perfections and flaws. She wasn't normally the one that would be seen at parties or anywhere besides the library.

"She shut a lot of people out without her knowing it. She's just trapping herself in her little world of having to be perfect in order to please everyone. She doesn't consider herself beautiful. Isn't that what a lot of girls do these days? To get attention from people to tell them that they are pretty? But she isn't like most girls. She never ever accepts the fact that, well, she's beautiful. Maybe not in her eyes, but in someone else's, she could be perfect.

"I studied her. Studied her ways of life, how she moves throughout her day. How determined she is to get her education. I studied her from a far. And each day that I did, I fell. I fell in love with her. I fell in love with her small laughs she does when she thinks no one is looking. I fell in love with her nervous ways. Fell in love with her captivating eyes. Her smile. Personality. Her. I fell for her. Hard.

"And--I don't really think I'll ever want to fall out of love. She's reined me in too deep to get out. Even if I try, I know that it'll only make me fall deeper into the quicksand she's made. Going deeper, the feelings stronger.

"She's the reason why I've tried my best to get out of trouble. To get her attention, maybe. Just so she'd notice me. I stayed out of trouble for some years, but had some minor incidents occur. She's kept me from going too far into the depth of isolation. Isolating everyone just because I was hurt before. She kept me, me again. Even though she doesn't quite know it yet. She's kept me grounded. If I ever, ever lose her. I--I don't know what I'd do with my life anymore."

I stared at his face, seeing that this girl had definitely had a major affect on him. Even if she didn't know. She sure is lucky. What am I saying? It's not like we're, ya know, together or anything. I just felt a little some sort of, rage? I shook the feelings away.

"She--she makes me...strong."

Link of inspired song in the sidebar>>>>

So you probably have guessed what song this chapter relates to. Strong. I just felt like it went really well with his background and would fit with the storyline. [If you want to get in the feel, read chapter 24 and 25 while listening to Strong. I did after I finished writing them and each part that came in the song fit perfectly with the words written. o.o How did I do that? I have no idea.]

I think this is my new favorite chapter I've written in my whole eternity of writing. And I bet it's gonna stay as my favorite as long as I live.

Guess what? What? There are only 4 more chapters to this book before it comes to an end! What?! I know right?!

This story has grown so much in the past three months. Thank you so much. Not a while until I say 'Farewell for now and see you later!'
