I sat up quickly, a hand clasp over my chest, my breathing at a rapid speed as I looked around the room. I was in my room, in my bed, in my pajamas, at 3 in the morning, not a dark corridor, in a dress, with freaking serial killers. What did that dream mean? All of the guys in my dream seemed so familiar, like I know all of them, or at least I've seen or met them. Is it a sign? No it can't. It's just a nightmare. Yes. That's what it is. A nightmare.
I laid back down in bed, staring blankly at the ceiling. What was it? It was all so clear yet blurry at the same time. Everything was clear in my memory, but what made me uneasy was the mysterious person, or persons I should say. How the dream ended, how I ended, the four guys with the guns. The fact that I mentioned Maxius' name in the dream. The guy said that he wasn't Maxius, but he knew him. Who was he then?
My mind swirled around from the dream or nightmare I should say. I could still feel the bullets, punctured into my torso and head, but what hurt the most was my heart. It was as if every living thing got sucked out of me. It wasn't only the feeling of being punctured but, also betrayal. Like someone went behind you and stabbed you, piercing you right through the heart. The person you loved.
I shook the feeling away, still feeling a stinging pain but not as strong as before. I looked out the window, puzzled that it was bright and sunny, at 3:30 in the morning. My face scrunched in confusion as I rose up. My eyes flickered towards my tab as its screen flashed. I snatched it of the nightstand, seeing SurfsNTats on the screen. Why is he calling me at 3 in the morning?
"Hello?" My voice came out hoarse. His face appeared on the screen, his bed hair was a mess.
"You're awake?" No, my eyelids are just opened and I'm talking while I'm sleeping like a creepy person.
"Yeah."
The room filled with silence, nothing but the shallow breaths of us breathing. I clung the duvet close, staring at the abnormally bright sun outside at this time of day. It was so beautiful, but it had a cautious feeling behind it.
"It's quite brightly lit outside at this hour, huh?" His voice soft, projecting from the small device.
"Mmm." I hummed. I turned back towards the small screen, noticing his features. His chocolate eyes were soft but slightly creased. I looked away, scared of getting caught staring.
"Couldn't sleep?"
"Yeah." I felt a pang of hurt in my chest. The dream wasn't real. There's nothing to be hurting for.
"Keira?" His voice skidded through the air easily. I found myself still staring at him, a blush overcasting my cheeks.
"Yeah?" I tried to hide the tint on my cheeks.
"Do you think it's odd, for the sunrise and sunsets to come at these abnormal timings?" His brows creased as his hands fumbled around, his eyes sometimes shifting its gaze from the screen to his window.
"Yeah, I've been noticing its weird occurrence now. We have school in 3 hours." I groaned, staring at the clock perched on the nightstand.
"We should sleep." He let a chuckle as my reaction. "Or at least try to." He let his eyes trailed towards mine. He examined my face. "You seem a bit shaken. Do you want to talk about it?"
Should I? Should I tell him about the dream? He probably wouldn't understand. "No, I'm fine." He didn't look as if he believed it, but let it slip.
"Try to sleep, okay? If you need anything, you have my Network information now so you can call me anytime." He gave a genuine smile. I nodded my head, my eyes slowly getting heavier. "See you later, kitty."
"Kitty?" I scrunched my face at the name.
"Yup. Keira. Kitty. It fits." He smirked, revealing his small dimple that was barely noticeable. His sleepy eyes stared into mine.
"But I'm not graceful as a kitten, correct? Since you've given me the title of being clumsy." I snorted.
"True." His smirk grew wider. "Not all nicknames match every characteristic." I groaned, with a smile on my face. I'll never get out of being a klutz am I?
"See you later," He reached out to end the call and paused with a smirk. "kitty." The screen went blank. I cursed under my breath, laying back down on the pillow. I turned my back towards the window, my eye lids getting heavier by the second.
------------------
I walked into the school, walking towards my locker. As I approach it, I see a person leaning up against my locker. "Um, excuse me." I asked quietly. He turned his head towards me, revealing his chocolate eyes. I sucked in a breath. Those eyes, looked familiar, so vivid filled with specks of milk chocolate from his deep chocolate brown eyes.
"Morning, love." Came out of his perfect pink lips. His hands buried into his pockets, still leaning against my locker. I felt my heart ache for some apparent reason but I pushed it away, as far as possible.
"You look lovely today." His eyes sparkled as he said it. He leaned into me, his lips next to my ear. "Just like everyday." His breath tickled my earlobe. He pulled away. I tried to study his face, but it was all blurry, his only features that were clearly visible were his eyes and lips.
"Come with me." He stuck out a hand, giving a genuine smile. I hesitantly looked at it. I really need to get to my locker. Or are you just wanting to hide as always. I shook the thought away. I took his hand, feeling a jolt of pain run through my chest. He lead me towards an empty room. I immediately started to panic as he closed the door behind him. Four other lads merged from behind him. My heart started pounding furiously. My head started throbbing, my stomach did multiple twists as the feeling of knives were sliced through them.
"Well, Keira. I see you've come, again." The older looking curly head stated. The chocolate eyed boy pulled away, standing behind the older guy with the others.
"How do you know my name?" I scrunched my nose as all five began to laugh.
"Oh how little did you know, I know everything about you, sweetheart." I could hear the smirk on his face.
"Don't call me sweetheart." I gritted through my teeth. Who does he think he is? I fell for that-that guy just to get lured into this trap. I balled my hands up into a fist on either sides.
"J, you know what to do." The green eyed boy stepped forward towards me. Each step he took, the more I would shrink. His face millimeters apart from mine and his intense stare suddenly gave my brain a throbbing pain. He placed a hand under my chin, lifting my gaze into his piercing evergreen eyes.
"Don't ever talk to Master like that. Understood?" His eyes looked so familiar, they disgust me. Although they were very captivating, I just can't help but feel disgust.
"No." His eyes widened then hardened. His jaw clenched.
"What was that, Keira?" He spit my name as if it were venomous.
"I said no."
"Wrong choice of words, princess. Wrong choice."
