noodle picked up the picnic basket and skipped out of the windmill. cyborg followed closely behind, trying not to trip.

noodle slowed down as she reached the edge of the island. she set down the basket and layed out the red, checkered blanket on the grass.

"c'mon, cy, sit down," noodle said and sat on the soft blanket. cyborg did the same, tucking her grey dress under her bum.

"what is this all about, master noodle?" cyborg questioned, folding her hands in her lap.

"I... just wanna talk." noodle hesitated, but smiled and pretended that nothing was out of the ordinary.

"about what?" cyborg asked, looking around at the yellow dandelions.

"mm, nothin' special," noodle lied. she didn't want to go ahead and tell cy immediately, that's too much to process in a short amount of time. "want a sandwich?" noodle asked, holding up a sandwich wrapped in aluminium foil.

cyborg nodded, just to be nice. even though the food wouldn't do anything to help her, it would still be nice to do it. she grabbed the sandwich from noodle and unwrapped it.

"so, cy, how are ya?" noodle asked, taking a bite from her sandwich.

"I am excellent. how are you, master?" cyborg returned the question, taking a bite, as well.

"I'm fine, thanks. also, please don't call me master. just call me noodle." noodle changed her sitting position to Indian style and set her sandwich down. she grabbed a can of grape soda from the basket and snapped it open.

"I apologise," cyborg said, bowing her head.

noodle ruffled cy's hair. "it's okay, silly."

cyborg giggled at noodle's action.

"that's cute, I've never heard you laugh before." those words accidentally slipped right out of noodle's mouth. her eyes widened at her own actions and her cheeks flushed. she set her soda down and her hands flew to her mouth, covering it. "oh my satan, I'm so sorry -- I didn't mean to say that, it just-"

"hey, it's okay." cyborg's hand shifted to noodle's chin and held it up, moving her hands away with her other hand.

noodle's face became even more flushed, if that was even possible.

"I-I... okay," noodle stuttered. she smiled and relaxed under cy's touch.

cyborg smiled back and moved noodle's hair away from her face. her emerald green eyes shone through. she scooted closer to noodle and was sitting at least a few inches away from her face.

noodle moved cyborg's hair away, as well. she stared into her eyes and cupped her face in her hand.

"do you really mean that I'm cute?" cyborg asked.

"... yes." noodle admitted. cy's face became tomato red and she giggled again.

noodle giggled along.

cyborg began to lean in and noodle did the same, not even noticing.

their lips met and noodle's hand found themselves on cy's neck. cyborg's hands moved to noodle's hair.

she ran her skinny fingers through noodle's short hair and they both smiled into the short -- yet, somewhat long -- kiss.

once noodle pulled away, cyborg batted her eyes at her and smiled, showing her teeth.

"cy?" noodle asked, her face paling a bit.

cyborg hummed in response and cocked her head.

"will you be my... girlfriend?" noodle gulped, waiting for an answer.

cyborg's brain searched for the meaning of the word. she finally got a result and giggled. "yes, I will be your girlfriend." cy kissed noodle again.

the kiss was short and sweet. cy pulled away first and hugged noodle, nuzzling her head in her neck.

"I love you, noodle," she sighed into her warm neck.

noodle pet cy's hair. "I love you, too, cy."
