The couple had been getting along quite well since their date.

Perhaps it's because they finally broke the ice and told each other things about themselves.

Perhaps it's because Kate was high all the time and Phil just didn't know.

Either way, Phil decided he trusts Kate to an extent and they were currently cuddling on the couch.

"Babe, what was your life like before you met me?" Kate asked.

Phil doesn't know why Kate was asking, nor did he really know what to say, but when he did start reminiscing he spoke of the past as if it was the best dream he ever had.

"I guess I'll start with when I met Dan.

I was on YouTube, which you know as my job, and Dan was one of my fans.

He 'stalked' me for months online before I finally responded.

Dan had told me he wanted to die on the message he sent me.

He wasn't expecting me to respond and normally I'd stay away from the DM's and post something happy to cheer people up.

But Dan was just...special I guess. He had seemed so joyful and relaxed in the public's posts, but he tended to tell me how his days went, and I secretly read them every day. The two moods just didn't correlate.

So we started talking and we quickly became best friends.

After a  while I asked him to be my roommate and we were, for years, before we got into this petty fight and I went to the club and, well, met you."

There was silence.

"Wow..." We sat in comfortable silence before Kate stood.

"I'm gonna go to bed babe." She mumbled a look of what? Guilt? On her face.

Why would she be guilty?

Phil didn't sit on that question.

Instead he took out his phone, looking for Dan's contact.

Once he found it, he texted a simple,

"Hey"

The previous conversation made him decide,

he was going to do something about Dan's tears.
