PURITY CRUMBLES

James went and called the others. They went back to the living room. They sat down. Conner pressed the activation button then a holographic image of Claire and David appeared. Everyone remained silent.

Paige felt her heart break seeing her beautiful mother and her father. She held back the tears.

"Hello Paige. I hope possibly you're with the boys. I actually forced your father to make this message with me. Before we made you forget we knew you would remember everything even the conversation you overheard. I know you're probably thinking that your father and I did something evil in the past. I need you and want you know the truth. Angel I love you so much. Your father will explain to you what happened in the past."

"Hie Pancake. A couple of years ago your mother and I lived in a city far beyond the wall. We had friends and family there. We had a friend named Dukilian Stone. He was our colleague from work. We were in a Scientific research agency together. The agency was called Phoenixstone. We made many discoveries there. Paige and James you've probably forgotten the place we lived. You were too young. Blake you were still a baby when we left. Our discoveries made the Scientific families elite in our society. The leadership acknowledged our works but things took a turn for the worst when I discovered a phenomena in tectonic plates that allowed me to make gravity unbound machinery. The leadership was really pleased and commended my work. Dukilian got jealous and began to develop destructive devices at a hidden base. I managed to put the pieces together and discovered what he was doing. I informed the authorities. They sent officers to confiscate him. He ended up killing them and went missing. One of his men overheard him swearing vengeance on me and he wanted to hurt you to hurt me. The man felt pity for you and informed us. We then ran away to protect you. I'm very sorry your lives are now scary and dangerous but I need you to be safe. Dukilian is smartest person I know. Don't underestimate him. If he's to ever enter into your lives I need you be very cautious. When we arrived here we discovered that the society was peaceful and that the scientific sector focuses mainly on health not defense so we chose to live here, keeping a low profile. We heard Dukilian ended up killing the leadership and ended up ruling my former city Ravenswood. I gave up on making advanced machinery in order to lower the risk of Dukilian finding us so we abided by the Redstone lifestyle. If he is to find us we're prepared to sacrifice ourselves for you. If we try to run away with you it wouldn't work because he would always be ten steps ahead and will end up dying with you. That is why we made the choices we made. All the things we did and the things we are yet to do they are to protect you. I love you."

"I love you too with every spec of my heart. I'm sorry again and I pray you'll survive this life forced unto you. May the Lord be with you wherever you may go. Take care," Claire said waving. Claire and David's faces suddenly disappeared.

The Sanders siblings gave out sighs of relief." Mom and dad were good people," Blake said with a smile.

"Yes. They weren't bad at all," James commented.

"You see you were over exaggerating for nothing," Conner smiled.

"Yeah," Paige said with a semi smile," now I just feel guilty that I actually thought they were bad but yeah I'm happy to know that they were good from the start."

"I can't believe that Dukilian was actually a good person at one point in time," Alexis said braiding a few strands of her strawberry blonde hair.

"Even the greatest of men fall because of greed," Lisa pointed out.

"Purity crumbles when greed encloses the heart," James added.

"It doesn't matter how crazy this guy is. We just have to get out of this city."

"Yeah Blake. The faster we get out of here the better," Paige confirmed.

"We set off at dawn," Conner informed the others.
