"Daddy!"

"Unfortunately no. I'll explain everything later. Let's go," the man shouted as he began to run. The others followed behind him. The man was wearing a long black coat. He had dark ebony black hair with several grey patches. He was the striking resemblance of Paige's father. As for Paige she was solely convinced that the man was her father. Everyone ran following the path of the man. It seemed as if he knew where he was going and fortunately his path wasn't collapsing. They were fine. The explosions were happening far of. After one explosion the man suddenly took out what looked like a disk." The next one is going to be close by," he shouted before he pressed something on the disk. A large shield like force fields appeared. It covered everyone as they ran.

"What the hell is that?" Blake asked with a shout.

"Kid this is not the time for questions," the man shouted back. They continued running. An explosion then happened at a nearby house but fortunately they were under the cover of the shield. They weren't even affected by the currents of the explosion. They continued running until they stopped a bit further away. "We're safe here. We won't be affected." A couple explosions were heard but they were far from them. Paige then felt a bit numb.

"Paige, are you okay?" Conner asked. Paige couldn't even hear anyone's voice. Everyone went up to her. "Paige," she could see them mouthing her name but she felt weak.

"I don't feel so good," she said before she closed her eyes.

Paige woke up in a room that was a bit small. Everyone was near her." Drink this," the man said handing her what looked like soup. She drank." You just got a little light headed from almost dying," the man said. Paige sat up.

"I'm fine now."

"Good," Conner sat next to her. She rested her head on his shoulder.

"You said you weren't my father?"

"Oh. I'm sorry. I can't imagine how hard this is for you Paige, James and Blake. Okay let me be quick. I hate introductions. My name is Jermaine, Jermaine Sanders. I'm your uncle."

"How is that even possible? We don't even know you? Did you stay behind in Ravenswood or what?" James managed to say.

"Technically no."

"So why don't we know you?" Blake asked.

"Isn't it obvious," Paige started," they made us forget him." Her face was full of spite and rage." How many memories did they erase from us anyway? We might probably have a half sister somewhere." Blake and James became cross too.

"I'm sorry my brother and I had to do that to you. I know you think it's bad but it was necessary."

"It was a necessary evil," James spat bluntly.

"Thank you for saving my life. I'm truly grateful but you have to understand it's a lot to take in. Yesterday I thought my only guardians were dead. Now we have an uncle."

"How come you look exactly like him? Where you twins or something?" Blake asked.

"Oh no. David was my older brother. I just look like him. You should have seen my father. The three of us literally looked like the same person in different ages."

"Okay where were you all this time?"

"I was in a city far away. I came when you triggered the panic alarm."

"Which alarm?" Conner asked.

"The one you activated when you entered into this house." He showed them a picture from his phone of the location of the abounded house they had gone to. Jermaine looked at Conner closely." You're the White kid aren't you? Conner?"

"Yes. You know me?"

"Yeah. I think I know all of you." He looked at Lisa and Alexis. He then called out their names.

"I'm guessing they erased you from our minds as well," Alexis said

"Unfortunately yes. I'm sorry but all we did was to protect you. Nothing will justify our actions but you have to know we didn't mean to ruin your lives."

Everyone was quiet for a while." How did you know about the explosions?" Lisa asked to ease the tension.

"It's a game."

"What? Whatever that was is a game?" Blake was shocked.

"It's called a tidal wave. It's a war defensive mechanism we established at Ravenswood."

"We?"

"Yes Paige. Your parents, Dukilian and I were part of Phoenixstone. Dukilian was our friend. Greed changed him. The tidal wave is a means our soldiers trained to be faster. It involved minor explosions and a disintegrating obstacle course. We made it safe for our soldiers. Dukilian took what he did there to a whole new level."

"The guy is a freaking sociopath," Blake commented.

"Yeah. Dukilian is. He's the most dangerous man I know," Jermaine announced.
