Paige ran up to were Conner's wet body was." Conner!!!" The others followed her. She ran up to the body and knelt down next to him. She started shaking him and checked for a pulse." No!" She started to resuscitate him." Conner breathe. You're not dead. You hear me!" The others stood next to her. Alexis and Lisa were crying." No don't cry. He's fine. Conner is not dead," she said looking like a person who's just gone past her breaking point.

"Paige," James whispered her name as he placed his hand on her shoulder.

"J no! He's not dead. He can't be dead," she said before crying. James hugged her. She wept." He's not dead. No. He can't be." Blake hugged Lexi and Lisa who were now drenched in tears. He wanted to be strong but he finally gave into the tears." I didn't even get to tell him," Paige whispered into her brother's ear.

"You still can," he whispered back.

"But he's gone?"

"Let that be your good bye."

"Okay," she said with a now horsey tone. She held Conner's hand. James was next to her." Conner there are a lot of things I wanted to tell you. I just didn't have the courage and the time to to say them." She started crying again. "Okay. I can't stop crying. I wanted to say all this time you've always been saying you love me, you'd die for me. I knew you meant it but I didn't think this would happen. I hoped I wouldn't lose you. I actually pushed you away to keep you from dying. Conner you want to know the truth? The truth is I love you. I loved you from the day you and I became best friends. Although my memory was taken away I would find myself staring at you at school. I was too afraid to admit it to myself. Erin thought so. I told him you were just my neighbour. I think that's why he didn't like you. He thought you were a threat. It's strange. I felt a connection I couldn't comprehend. I didn't tell anyone but knowing my brothers they already knew. It's something I couldn't explain. I actually thought I was unfaithful so each time I dismissed those thoughts and I distanced myself from you. I just had to know you as the neighbour I didn't talk to. It was quite easy to portray that facade. I'm so sorry. You didn't deserve this. I loved you then, I love you now and I'll always love you. I know I'm scared about everything but I'll be fine. You gave me strength. You likened me to a dove and I called you a hippo. That's not the animal I liken to you. You're my tiger. I'm happy that you said hie to me when I was about to leave the lecture room in a rush. I'm grateful that our parents brought us together. I'm grateful for the most epic romance I've ever felt in my life though we never kissed but each time you would tell me you loved me it was enough to slay my heart. It was enough to make me fall in love with you again. You left your mark in my heart and it'll never fade." She cried some more." God I can't stop crying." She started to sing Standing by the willow tree. James placed his hand around her shoulder and sang with her. Paige couldn't handle the pain. She started screaming. She started banging her fists against Conner's chest then something happened. Conner coughed out water. Paige couldn't even think to process what was happening. Conner coughed out again. Everyone looked at him now aware of what was happening.

"So it takes death for someone to confess that they secretly stalked you," he laughed before coughing again.

"Conner," Paige said out in joy. She held him by the back of the head and she kissed him. Despite the fact that he was wet she didn't care. She gave him a passionate kiss. At that point in time she couldn't hear the girls giggling behind her. She couldn't hear her brothers making noises. It felt as if Conner and her were the only two people in the world. After a few seconds she released him. He wasn't going to let go of her that easy. He pulled her back to him and kissed her. Paige closed her eyes. In that moment she felt genuine happiness. He finally let her go.

"It was about time," Blake teased. Everyone laughed.

"Lisa and I were on team CAIGE all the way," Alexis said.

"Mostly because there wasn't a couple name for you and Erin," Lisa laughed and everyone joined in.

"Thank God that fate intervened because Erin wasn't the one," James chuckled." Bro I'm happy you're okay."

"I'm not dying any time soon," he smiled. He stood up." Let's move," he said.
