I sat in the kitchen, twirling the spoon in the cereal bowl. I was up early for Lord knows what. I heard someone come downstairs.

"Morning." said Brian. He had on baggy pajama pants without a shirt.

"Good morning. " I said awkwardly. I hadn't forgotten what Brian said a while back ago. It still bothers me.

"You like Honey Nut Cheerios too?" He said, grabbing a bowl and pointing to me as I scooped a spoonful in my mouth.

"Yeah."

I watched him pour Cheerios into his bowl with milk.

"How ya' been?" He asked.

"Pretty good."

"Glad you joined though." He smiled.

"Yeah..."

"Wanna go do something later?" He asked.

"I was gonna hang out with Alex today..." I lied.

"You've been acting really weird. Is it because-

"Yes." I admitted. "Yes it is."

Dumb bitch, you should know by now.

"Why?" He asked.

"Because I'm not used to being asked out or told that I like you from someone. Its weird. I've never been asked out at all before."

"Are you serious?" He asked.

"Yes. "

"You've never had a boyfriend or been kissed either?" He asked.

"No. Now I'm embarrassed. "

"Don't be, its cute." He smiled.

My cheeks flushed red.

I heard someone else come downstairs.

"Morning beautiful. " Austin said, wrapping his arms around me.

"Excuse me?" I said, pushing him off me.

"Just being friendly." He shrugged.

"Why so suddenly?" I spat.

"Well after what happened last night, I thought about it. Since you're here now, we should start being friends." He grinned. I stared at him in awe.

"Last night?" Brian said, raising an eyebrow.

"It was nothing, we just had a little disagreement." I said, shooing Austin away.

"That was yesterday... let's not worry about it. Lets move on and just be friends. " Austin said, rubbing my shoulder.

"Well, I guess..." I shrugged.

"I was wondering if you'd like to do something later.." Austin slurred.

"Like a date? Um, no thanks, I'm good." I said, turning away.

"Its not a date. I thought I'd just be nice and take you somewhere. You've been cooped up in here for so long and I thought you could use some fresh air. Don't worry, if anything goes wrong, I'll protect you." Austin grinned.

"I don't really want to..." I slurred.

"Why?" He asked.

"I'd rather not be seen with you." I said bluntly.

"Where I'm taking you, we won't be recognized by anyone, so don't worry." He said, leaning over a little closer to me.

"You're really persistent about this. " I sighed. "But alright. "
