"Oh, God, this is where I got into my first fight," Ben said with a laugh as he and Cassie looked into an alley. "Did you at least win?" Cassie asked as they continued to walk down the street. He thought for a moment, then said, "No. She was a big girl."
That got Cassie to laugh loudly. "Shut up," he chuckled. She then suddenly stopped laughing and gasped, "Oh, look at that!" She quickly went up to a shop window and looked at a couple of cool vintage knick-knacks.
Ben took her hand and led her into the store, where he watched her go up to the items. She seemed incredibly fascinated with a black glass dragon. "Nerd," he chuckled. "You only like it because it reminds you of Game of Thrones."
She eyed him sharply and said, "Shush. It's cool. It looks like dragon glass, the stuff they use to kill the white walkers. Not only that, but it looks like Khalessi's dragon." Ben shook his head with a smile and looked at the price. It was not cheap.
Nevertheless, he pulled out his wallet and went up to the register. No one was there, so he patiently waited until a tall woman came waltzing out. The moment Ben saw her, he nearly dropped his wallet from shock.
This beautiful woman with legs that went for miles, a full head of luscious black hair and lips plump with ruby red lipstick was Eileen. Ben's ex.
"Hello, sir, how may I...Ben?" Ben gaped at her, all sorts of horrible memories flooding back to him. He was momentarily stunned into silence. What were the chances of this happening? He hasn't seen her in years. What were the fucking chances?
Finally gaining his senses back, Ben opted to ignore her saying his name and said, "Uh...I would...I would like to, erm...purchase that dragon over there." He pointed to where Cassie was still observing the small, but heavy object.
Eileen rang it up and said, "Three hundred and twenty pounds." He handed her his card without making eye contact. She swiped it, then handed it back. As soon as he took it, he turned to walk back to Cassie.
"Ben, wait," Eileen called. As soon as he turned around, he pulled into a hug that he refused to return. "I've missed you, Benny," she said in his ear. It sent an uneasy feeling down his spine. He quickly pulled away, then said, "Stay away from me."
He turned back to Cassie, but saw her staring at him oddly. "Who's this?" She asked, trying not to sound suspicious. Eileen then took ahold of Ben's arm and snootily asked, "Benny, what's that?" Cassie scoffed at her, while Ben shook her off his arm.
"Eileen, that's enough. Cassie, grab the damn dragon, we need to go." Cassie picked up the dragon, then Ben took her hand and started to quickly walk out before things could escalate. But it was too late for that.
Before they could reach the door, Eileen shouted, "You owe me, Benedict! You owe me for leaving me at that damn altar!" He suddenly felt Cassie stop and tear her hand away from his. He looked at her shocked expression and said, "Honey, don't listen to her."
He tried to take her hand back, but she quickly slapped his hand away, then shoved the dragon to his chest and walked out the door. He grunted and quickly followed her. "Cassie! Baby, wait!" She was walking very fast, keeping him from catching up.
"Cassie, I'm sorry! I should have told you!" He kept running into people as he tried to get to her. Finally getting angry that he couldn't catch up to her or grab her attention, he shouted, "You kept your sex addiction from me! You neglected to tell me you fucked the entire school like a whore!"
The moment those words came out of his mouth, he immediately regretted it.
Cassie stopped and turned to him. He stopped in his tracks when he saw the look on her face. It was full of hurt and betrayal. "Cass...sweetheart, I'm sorry." She just shook her head, then charged up to him. As soon as she got in front of him, she slapped him across the face.
Tears were flooding her eyes as she told him, "I hate you." He held on to his cheek and watched her practically run back in the direction of the hotel. "Cassie!"

The moment Cassie got back into the room, she started packing with tears running down her cheeks. She texted Anna to let her know she was coming home early, but didn't say why. As she was packing up her things in the bathroom, she heard the door to the room open.
She momentarily stopped what she was doing, but then shook her head and continued. When she walked out of the bathroom, Ben walked into the bedroom and saw her packing. "What are you doing?" He asked.
She sniffled as she told him, "I want to go home." She zipped up her last bag, then set them on the floor. "Cassie, don't leave me," he begged. "Honey, I am so sorry." She looked up at him and saw he was holding a dozen roses.
"I treated you so horribly out there," he told her. "I shouldn't have said what I did, shouldn't have called you a whore. God, I'm a fucking idiot." He wiped a tear away from his cheek. "I should have told you that I was going to get married. I should have told you that I left my fiancée standing at the altar. Cass, Eileen was the one who got in my head. I'm not some areshole that leaves women standing at altars."
Cassie crossed her arms and slowly sat down on the bed. Ben sat down next to her, but a good distance away. "If I'm being completely honest," he said, "I never wanted you to find out. I told mum and dad not to bring it up. That's a part of my life that I want to forget. I suppose now...now I understand why you wanted to keep some things from me, as well. It's easier to let go if you just try and pretend it didn't happen."
He put his head down in shame and started to lightly cry. "Don't leave me," he begged. "You're all I've got left to give me a purpose in this damn world." Cassie scooted closer to him and brought his face to hers.
"No. More. Secrets," she sternly told him with tears in her eyes. He quickly nodded and repeated, "No more secrets. No more, I swear." He brought her in for a kiss and held her close. "Please tell me you don't hate me," he begged against her lips.
She ran her fingers through his hair and said, "I hate you for not telling me. But I love you, Ben. Goddammit, I love you." She kissed him over and over again, until he dropped the flowers on to the floor and had her straddling him.
"I thought I lost you," he said as he took off her shirt. He ran his hands down her smooth sides and kissed across her chest. "I can't lose you." He took her bra off, then helped her stand to undo her pants.
She took his off, then went back to straddling him. They both let out deep moans once he was completely inside her. He held her close to his chest as she moved her hips slowly up and down. "God, baby, that's it," he moaned.
She straightened herself out so she was tall above him and he looked up at her like she was the most beautiful thing in the world. He held on to her hips and watched as her face turned into complete pleasure as she rode him.
To give her a little extra, he started to thrust up into her. She let out a whimper when he would hit that sweet spot. "There we are," he said with a smile and kept hitting it over and over again. Soon after, she fell against him in pure bliss, while he kept thrusting quickly up to reach his release.
When he did, he let himself empty inside her with a loud groan. He hugged her impossibly close to him and ran his hands up and down her sweaty back. After a few moments of getting his breath back, he pressed a kiss to her temple, then said, "Get some sleep. I'll unpack your things."
She sleepily nodded, then Ben gently set her down and put the covers over her. It's been an emotionally exhausting day, so she was out like a light. Ben sat and watched her for a moment, mentally vowing to never let her come this close to leaving him again.
